Gee, I never remember PJ needing a seperate defensive coach, maybe that why he gets paid double of what most coaches make, he coaches both offense and defense. And please I do not want to hear from the guys that say PJ does not spend time on defense because his Bull and Laker championship teams played great defense when it mattered most.
Well this is awkward:
@LakersReporter
Kobe scoffed at notion D'Antoni's teams played no D. Said under Phil, they did "maybe 3" drills on D, ever. Let players figure that out.

did Nate respond back yet to the request for defensive coaching position?
As of yesterday there was no request to McMillan. But it really sounded like he would be extended the offer.

Well this is awkward:
game. set. match
If we somehow land Dwight Howard AND Nash (which is one of the biggest reaches I've posted, don't think that will happen), then yeah...I have no problem with it, because Howard won't allow anyone to take Nash off the dribble 30+ minutes a game.
You should reach more often

whos going to be our defensive coordinator?
Should be Steve Clifford he's another Thibs. And the defense we been playing under his watch the last 3 games has been amazing especially since Bernie keeps them motivated. Running simple offensive schemes similar to what we did before without the advanced stuff and having Cliff's suffocating defensive style. He really isn't getting the credit he deserves.

he works with Dwight on his defense as well as some of our guards. You'll notice his work with the Lakers playing the lanes a lot better, Nash as well has been doing that.

Well this is awkward:
Not meant to be offensive..I just believe that defense takes care of itself if you have players with heart and soul and a will to win.
.....Three things needed to win championships #1 Talent #2 a coach that understand and is able to work with players that are not all cut out of the same mold. #3 Players that play with heart and soul and want to win!
.....PJ had talent, PJ had the ability to get different personalities to work together and PJ had players/teams that played with heat and soul.

Sorry, but I dont believe in that heart and soul crap. We are doomed.
And please dudes, stop underrating Phil, just because we did not get him stop saying that he was not a defensive coach, he was not but he was 100 times better than d'antoni, there is a reason why phil has 11 rings and d'antoni none
