He had a DPOY in Tyson Chandler

I think Howard is more capable in defense than Tyson. But I think you can't always blame coach for the lousy defense. As all players say,defense is will. And there were some unwilling defensive players there. But hey,you know from the first hand living there. We'll see eventually.
Impossible is nothing.

:pray: This would be awesome if it happened. They've both worked on the Olympic team together actually.

I think Howard is a better defender than Chandler but MDA still had one of the best defensive big in the league. But we'll see I hope I wrong but I don't have a lot faith in D' Antoni.

Good I was hoping this would happen. I like most others was expecting Phil as coach but the facts are they chose DAntoni. Now while I'm skeptical like many I will wait to see what happens. DAntonis strength is offense so I am
looking forward to that. Obviously defense isnt as we all know so it's a must to bring in a defensive assistant and I expected McMillan to be at the top of the list. I would be happy with McMillan.

Why would Nate take this position? He's a very strong coach, and would likely get a head coaching job in very little time.

He had Woodson as his defensive assistant last year and the Knicks D wasn't good until Woodson actually became the head coach

You're aware during a stretch under Chandler the defense jumped to top 5 right? With Howard do you really think it won't do the same? Pau isn't Amare, and Dwight is better offensively and defensively than Chandler? Y u crying?

If we somehow land Dwight Howard AND Nash (which is one of the biggest reaches I've posted, don't think that will happen), then yeah...I have no problem with it, because Howard won't allow anyone to take Nash off the dribble 30+ minutes a game.

You should reach more often ;)

Majorly over rated on D. He gets fouled out like crazy and also he may play decent D but his offense is so bad he's basically a taller Perkins.

Bernie and D'antoni have already talked

@LakersReporter
Bernie Bickerstaff said he spoke to Mike D'Antoni; the only focus for Bickerstaff is trying to beat San Antonio tomorrow night.

@LakersReporter
Bickerstaff didn't want to speak for D'Antoni, but conceded that the presence of Nash makes it a hugely easier transition.

@LakersReporter
A few people around the team, including Bickerstaff just now, said Mike D'Antoni could be here on Wednesday.

@LakersReporter
Bickerstaff said he's sure Mike D'Antoni will know how to tweak his system for the current personnel. LAL brass obviously discussed that.

I hope this all bodes well for Bernie.

If we beat the Spurs tomorrow I think Bernie stays :) So I HOPE WE DO!

If we somehow land Dwight Howard AND Nash (which is one of the biggest reaches I've posted, don't think that will happen), then yeah...I have no problem with it, because Howard won't allow anyone to take Nash off the dribble 30+ minutes a game.
