We'll see from Bynum. I don't think he's as good as Howard is even at 100 percent. Good luck with that though with all the news reports out about his health.

No, I don't think his career is over, but it will not go to mid thirties. It depends on the actual problem his knees have; if it is something like a bone bruise, then he will return within this season. If it is weakened cartilage for sure (as reports have been saying), then it is very serious, and will not heal completely even with time. Bynum is set for life with the money he has earned with LA, so I cannot say for sure how long he will play.

On the other hand, Howard has been a good center for LA in his time here. I originally advocated against the trade, but I cannot deny that we are much better off after. (in response to many of your posts here)

Andrew Bynum's agent, David Lee, said Tuesday that the 76ers center would have his knees examined again on Dec. 20.

Bynum has not played this season for the Sixers as he recovers from bone bruises to each knee and weakened cartilage. He will have a battery of tests conducted, Lee said. The agent added that the swelling in Bynum's knees had gone down.

Bynum's personal physician, David W. Altchek, will conduct the examination in New York.

I've defended Drew in the past, but I really can't anymore. Dude has alot of talent, but he's really immature. I used to say he was the Dez Bryant of basketball, but at least Dez has been ballin lately and is starting to realize his potential. In all likelihood Bynum won't play a game this season and even if he does he won't be 100 percent most lucky. I absolutely hate to see talented players waste their careers.

I know I should be impressed how the Lakers are now 8 and 9 with your favorite player Howard now a member of our team and Drew not, but if I said I was, I'd be lying.There is no need for me to comment on Drew until he plays again, which he will, but it appears everyone here likes talking about him whether he plays or not.

I'm getting enough of a kick watching you and other lost posters defending Howard on a daily basis even though he can't seem to get us over .500. I see you guys blaming everyone but Howard, because if you did, it would prove how wrong you were about the guy and that would take humility.

Lol, when will you ever say that Howard isn't an upgrade over Bynum except for the fact he's not playing? What was the Lakers biggest move this season? It was to lose Bynum and get Howard. How is that working for us? I just don't see the big difference, I'm sorry.

The funny thing is, Bynum could still be with us on the bench with his injuries, with no Howard, and we would still be no worse than we are now. How does that fair for your "best center in the league?" The dude can't even get us over .500, lol???

Andrew Bynum still has pain in his left knee that has kept him from making his debut with the Philadelphia 76ers.

Bynum is in pain when he walks or attempts even light physical activity, except for swimming. He had been recovering from a bone bruise in his right knee and injured his left knee while bowling last month.

The 7-foot center will have his knees examined again Dec. 20 and did not know whether he would need an MRI exam.

"Worst-case scenario, it's another month," he said Monday night. "Best-case scenario, I can ramp it up."

Bynum has not practiced or played for the 76ers since he was acquired in the off-season from the Lakers. Bynum said his right knee has improved to the point where he might have been able to play. He was again listed as inactive for Philadelphia's game against Detroit because of bilateral bone bruises.

“There's nothing I can do about it,” Bynum said. “It's arthritis in the knees. Cartilage is missing. That's not going to regrow itself. Maybe in the future, next three to five years, there may be something out there that really does help. Right now, it's kind of a waiting game.”
