We all know Phil loved Pau and he would be great in the triangle offense which requires good passing from all positions.

But things are different with D'Antoni. He cares less about back to the basket post ups and more about PnRs and other plays to get easy buckets from the forwards and centers. In fact he might even prefer a stretch four.

Do you guys think Pau has a place on this team now, or will management look to deal him for a Josh Smith type of player?

honestly....i hope they end up trading him for Josh Smith cause i know him and Howard will get all the rebounds thus eliminating second chance points for the opposing team.

Id love a Josh Smith trade. However I dont even think its possible. Why does Atlanta do it? There is no trade out there for Pau that we get equal value for. Pau is still a good pick and pop shooter from 13-18 feet.

I think we keep him and he will actually get better from Mikes offence you will see.

i just want to trade pau for a bench... and imo, thats not necessary,because we could just sign delonte west..... imo...

Big 4s are OVERRATED. you think Nash/Kobe/Dwight cant carry the whole Offensive load!?

If we somehow land Dwight Howard AND Nash (which is one of the biggest reaches I've posted, don't think that will happen), then yeah...I have no problem with it, because Howard won't allow anyone to take Nash off the dribble 30+ minutes a game.

You should reach more often

we already have a stretch 4,Jamison, so why trade Pau for a 4?

at the deadline - Pau for Granger and DJ Augastine , 3 way so IND can unload West before hes a FA and get a backup pg in return...

this trade bolsters our bench and helps our starting O even more..

It CAN work if we're gonna be running double pick and Rolls with Kobe Nash Howard and Gasol. But Jamison is gonna have to put in WORK with that bench unit.

Cause the offense of the bench unit is gonna be Morris setting up Meeks and Jamison for 3s. So they HAVE to deliver.

If we somehow land Dwight Howard AND Nash (which is one of the biggest reaches I've posted, don't think that will happen), then yeah...I have no problem with it, because Howard won't allow anyone to take Nash off the dribble 30+ minutes a game.

To be honest, I don't think he's traded at all. Reason being is that now D'Antoni has two 7 footers in the lineup. Imagine the PnR with Gasol and Howard. Howard will play his game around the basket and protect the basket. It's all adjustments with his system. Again, this is my opinion and Mitch could pull the trigger and trade him for Josh Smith.
