Floor spacing serves 2 purposes; #1 to give the man with the ball room to operate to go one on one. #2 To run the pick and roll to perfection #3 To provide room for wide-open shooters to receive the ball.
Option #3 needs to Be Knockdown, Lights Out, Dead-eye Shooters....we are sorely lacking in this area. it will make Dwight so much more Dangerous. it will give Kobe a Safety Valve. Pau, will find this man all day long. and Nashie will get 4 assists a game to someone who is automatic
May I nominate the first acquisition: Mike Dunleavy Jr.
He is a Knockdown, Lights Out, Dead-Eye Shooter who just plain drains it....He is also a real strong rebounder for a Small Forward..He will get you 7 Boards a game
He will give you 12-15 points a night and will go off for 25-30 on any given evening. he needs only about 18-25 minutes a game to do this too.... Oh and he's a great 3 point shooter as well
We are missing a pure shooter, on this star-studded team
Pull the trigger on Dunleavy...............Mike Dunleavy Jr.........not Senior Mitch..........

If we somehow land Dwight Howard AND Nash (which is one of the biggest reaches I've posted, don't think that will happen), then yeah...I have no problem with it, because Howard won't allow anyone to take Nash off the dribble 30+ minutes a game.
You should reach more often

i wish we could move Kobe to the 3 and have Meeks start at SG....it would space the floor so much

Exactly. Teams will exploit Metta's poor offense whenever he's on the floor. With Meeks on the floor, who will they leave open?i'm so sick of Metta shooting under 30% from 3 and under 40% FG

But, Nash is one of the best shooters in league history at the PG spot. Kobe have been exceptionally solid from the 3pt range and Meeks, who is so among the better shooters in the game should also get some more time at the 2, once we get a new coach. From the PF-spot, a Gasol-Jamison combination is just about as get as it can get as well from that position.
We will basically have two solid floorspacers on the floor at all times with this roster, so im not that concerned.

damn right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! metta should only get pt to lock someone down,,,teams will just leave him open to double
"The West aint close, now that the LAL got Dwight, who gon stop him on OKC!????" - Chris Webber (nba tv -August)
Big 4s are OVERRATED. you think Nash/Kobe/Dwight cant carry the whole Offensive load!?
(Peace Pau we need pieces, not MettaWorldPieces!!!!!!!!)

Goudlecok would have been another who could've been developed into a pretty good outside shooter.
If we're talking about getting one via trade, that's hard. Most teams need shooting also so they aren't giving them up for free.
And MD Jr. ? LOL...we want to get better defensively, not exponentially worse (exaggeration, but not by much)

I'm BAAACCCKKKKK!!!

IMHO, we need more slashers and people capable of creating off the dribble. Dribble penetration frees teammates up for open, uncontested shots. Those are easier to hit with consistency and will raise our collective shooting %. If we're going with Kobe at 3, Meeks is a decent option on our team. Blake is also a decent shooter when he plays off-guard.

Yeah I noticed off the ball we stop moving, people don't know what to do if the ball isn't in their hands,
we deff could use more slashers and people need to be more willing to set screens off the ball and
not just the bigs.

What we need is a small Forward who can Lock down Lebron or Kevin Durant....
Please tell me who you believe is capable of that.
