RT @LakersReporter: Just spoke to hoops legend Bill Bertka, still employed by LAL. He loves fast break hoops, & said you don't need sprinters to run it.
RT @LakersReporter: Bertka mentioned the old great Celtics teams; Cousy & Sam Jones ran, the other 3 "dragged their butts up the floor." Still played up-tempo.
RT @LakersReporter: Of course the 80's Lakers (Kareem exception) could run like crazy, & most of the Suns. But you don't need 5 sprinters to play that style.
RT @LakersReporter: Bertka can't wait to see what Mike D'Antoni brings in here. Up-tempo is essentially designed to keep D off balance, not let 'em get set.

He said his coaching Sunday right? So whos coaching us tomorrow? Is it his brother or still bickerstaff?

I think that's a great way to look at it. When he said that the only job I really fear for is Eddie Jordan's unless D'antoni asks him to implement some more Princeton sets into his offense(yes D'antoni runs Princeton sets in his offense, but not a LOT of them) so unless he wanted Eddie for that reason and only that reason he'll probably be let go of.
But this is encouraging
on how D'antoni is gonna change the staff(apparently he isn't, no one at all and is just adding his brother)
