It has been reported many many times that Sloan had no interest in coming back to coach. McMillian is better for an assistant which I belive is what is happening right now and no we have a guy who will install a simple offense which in the past 2 game which has been a simple offense has worked. We got better mainly because we got a guy the player respect and one who wont be doing retarded rotations and be experimenting for 2 years.
Not saying we didn't get better but I still want more than a 2nd round exit and I'm not confident that D'Antoni is the guy to do that.

Can someone remind what Mike has won again?
I feel ya, can't do nothing about it though, we just have to wait and see if things work out again thanks to Jim (even though 'sources' say Jerry and Mitch were in agreement as well which I highly doubt is true since they are both playing yes men to Jim).

What had Spoelstra won?
If we somehow land Dwight Howard AND Nash (which is one of the biggest reaches I've posted, don't think that will happen), then yeah...I have no problem with it, because Howard won't allow anyone to take Nash off the dribble 30+ minutes a game.

What had Spoelstra won?
How long was Spoelstra HC before he won though?
Not trying to be an ass, I just think this is a bad comparison.

Mike Brown won a championship as an assistant coach too. No credit given. So why should it matter for Spoelstra.
Everyone said "head coaching is a different monster"
Well Spoelstra as a head coach had won nothing till last year.
Just because D'antoni hasn't doesn't mean he won't with Kobe, especially given our lineup which would thrive off pick and roll as well as a few tweaks. Not to mention benefiting our bench and making use of Meeks and Jamison's three point shooting. Works for me. Defensively we have Kobe, Metta and Dwight, I'm not worried.

We're not talking about Mike Brown (thankfully we don't have to see him anymore either)
You asked me what Spo had won and I told you. 15 years and nada for Mike D'Antoni

Alright Kellerman the Knicks fan about to come on Mason and Ireland to share his thoughts on D'Antoni. Listen in
http://espn.go.com/e...geles/play?s=la
Yeah pretty good points by Max.
He said if Phil was being indecisive or really didn't know if he really wanted to do it. That the Lakers said he could take the time he needed but THEY would be moving forward interviewing other coaches and that Phil waited too long along with his indecisiveness showed that mentally he was already "done".

One thing people forget about Phil is it wasn't just the TRIANGLE that won all of those Championships...Phil has 2 of the top 5 players at their position on his championship teams EVERY YEAR HE WON...
Kobe will end his career as top 5 ALL TIME...I'm talking in the HISTORY of the NBA...
Shaq is already considered no less than Top 3 as a BIG and arguably right up there with Kobe in the top 5.
MJ - 'nuff said...
Pippen could have been a Superstar on most teams but it was absolutely SICK that he was paired with MJ...
D'Antoni has NEVER had the fortune of coaching that type of talent...talent that plays both sides of the ball, I might add. Give him a chance. He may surprise you...

I'm BAAACCCKKKKK!!!

KEVIN DING @KevinDing
Dwight Howard said he was "excited" about Mike D'Antoni. As for the new Lakers coach's emphasis on offense ...
Howard said: "This will be great. You have guys on this team who love to play defense, and he's an offensive coach. I think we'll find a balance. Shawn Marion and Raja Bell, I think those are the only two guys who really, really focused on defense on his previous teams. Here, you've got myself, Kobe, Metta, who love to D-up. The young guys that we have, that's all they want to do: Put the straps on. I think it'll be great for us. Run and gun, but we can come down on the other end and play defense."

200% with you man. When has D'Antoni had this much talent?

Spolestra is not a GREAT coach at anything. Playcalling, offense, defense, motivation/chemistry. He is just GOOD at all of them with amazing talent. At least D'Antoni is superb on offense and now with McMillan we'll be solid on defense. I'm cool with that.
Only thing is, now this really makes me hate that we couldn't sign Barbosa

Lol at Kobe's excuse not being available for questions. He had to take Steve Blake to get an MRI for his injury.
KOBE. #VINO. BRYANT.
