Meeks still missed too many nice looks from 3 for my liking, especially for being who he is supposed to be that "3PT specialist". One game in from the rook R-Kelly and I already trust him more honestly.

R.Kelly, Shawne Williams, Steve Blake (even though he's been shooting poorly), Steve Nash, Nick Young, Xavier Henry, and Kobe Bryant.

Guys I trust to make the threes more than Meeks.

I wouldn't go that far but I think i'd prefer some some of those guys as well. I think Meeks' value is that he doesn't turn the ball over, plays hard and hits a respectable (although streaky) .367 % from 3. Not a great career number for a shooting specialist but good enough.

As wide open as he is his threes are basically warm up jumpers. He should be hitting 40% imo

Well, he's been playing smarter for the most part, but his finishes leave a lot to be desired. Thank God Jordan Hill tends to finish a lot of the plays for him.

Slow start as usual for him but he heated up down the stretch defensively and offensively.

He hasn't been bad these past few games. I never truly WANT a guy to fail, so I hope he can keep this up.

Is it just me, or has Meeks been a very nice surprise so far?

Nope, you're right. Meeks has been solid. Right now he's shooting 50-40-90, which I expect will drop a little bit, but this system is perfect for him.

I like his hustle and his drive to the basket than just shooting threes

Don't seem to see many others sadly, but oh well, I'll be one of the few of the many out there who were incredibly tough & critical on Jodie. I honestly didn't think he had it in him to turn things around, but so far so good. He's far surpassed even any expectations I once might've had of just how much he could contribute for us if he ever got it right.

Now granted, it's still early and it's a long season, but I can't remember him at any point last season having played this well for this long consecutively consistently.

He's even seemed to have improved in finishing around the basket more now. It used to be a mess most of the time last year, but now he's more in control & less wild. I'm glad I've been wrong so far.

He's no longer selfish on the fast break, consistently makes his 3 pointers, and changes it up and drives to the basket to keep the defense guessing. He's been the most consistent/ solid bench player so far.

Yes, I must say this was the Jodie I was expecting last year, especially with all the open opportunities.  I hope he's able to keep it up!

Thus far off the bench he's averaging 12.5/ 3.2

On 51% shooting and 50% beyond the arc.

Now... it'd be crazy to assume it stays there cause of his streaky moments BUT if he's able to maintain even 45% from the field and 42% from three I'd be extremely happy.

Even doing little things like cutting to the basket instead of just spotting up is making me happy.

Jodie has been solid. I think a top 5 player on this team thus far based on his productivity

^ You make it sound like you're not happy about it though by your "Good for him, I guess" comment. You should be. I mean what's more important? You being right or the Lakers winning & the players having success? C'mon now man.

I don't want him to start, he needs to keep coming off the bench imo.
