Do not start with the G-Lock thing. As much as i liked him he was not built to be a Sg in the Nba and does not have the skills to be a Pg. At least Jodie tries and hustles, i would love to see him knock those shots though.

don't pick up his team option, someone we can get someone who's a better backup and not one dimensional! Hell call Goudelock back up! dude is tearing it up in the D-league!

Goudelock is as streaky as Meeks in the dleague, some nights he'll go off for 30 and other nights he needs 17 shots to get 17 points. And that's against dleague competition.

Meeks is not a good defensive player, and the lakers don't have a defensive coach; but Meeks has been playing heart out, And playing the best defense he can, inspired by Kobe, metta, and Dwight

Props to Meeks, he is playing his heart out

And yes, I am giving him credit

If we want to make any noise next year, we need to let this guy go.  3pt specialist who gets WIDE open looks every game and is shooting like 35% on the season?  What a joke, plus he gets taken advantage of every game on the defensive end.  I see no upside in keeping him after this season.

Jodie was very fortunate to somewhat make up for an overall atrocious game.

meeh he "pestered" Harden a bit.  Morris and Meeks did a good job on Harden, Harden had a bad shooting night, but a lot of free throws and those spot up 3s.

But later on in the game Meeks disrupted his game just enough to throw him off.

So I'll give him credit there.

But freaking heck he can't afford to go 2-10 when 9 are wide open.

Most of those shots were wide open.

Morris did a good job though

Jodie Meeks and former Laker, Earl Clark are the most INCONSISTENT players in the NBA. Therefor, I think, it will be a good idea to trade him and R.Sacre for a high second round pic next summer. That will open two roster spots and we can sign FA's Tyrus Thomas and Chris Douglas Roberts to a 2 years deals.

DO NOT HAVE VERY BIG EXPECTATIONS FOR THIS SEASON for several reasons. One of which is the fact, that so far, we have signed only slag, from the bottom of the barrel.Besides Nick Young and Jordan Farmar, no other new addition can have an immediate impact to this team. They are all lower level players and undrafted rookies in a relatively poor draft class. In another words, they are just fillings for this season. Only few of them will earn a roster spot, beyond this season. So! Calm down. Take off your pink eyeglasses and look realistically to this squad of very old and washed out veterans, bellow NBA's mid-level players and undrafted rookies. This team was built to play out this season and eventually not make the playoffs, so we can have a higher draft pic. That is why, Mitch, Jim and Phil will not count on the results of this season.

I know Meeks have struggled in these past two games, but Meeks have been extremely consistent throughout his career - a low-mistake shooting specialist who competes. He will do the same this season, regardless of how he's played in the first two pre-season games.

That being said. The way Nick Young and Xavier Henry looks, I think it'll be difficult for Meeks to get significant minutes.

Meeks may have had some value on our team last season, but I don't think that's the case anymore. We have like five or six guys who can do the things he can and then some.

A "shooting specialist" who shot 38% from the field last season and 35% from 3. Some "shooting specialist" alright. Not to mention how many times he gets out of control when he tries to put the ball on the floor or take it to the basket and he either blows constant layups or something else bad usually happens. The dude can't even develop a useful floater in the lane that would help him tremendously.

He will do the same this season, regardless of how he's played in the first two pre-season games.

He'll do the same this season? So he'll shoot a whopping lovely 38% from the field overall including 35% from 3? Oh yeah, that sounds great.

^ I'm glad you put scrub for Landry, but more importantly even worse garbage for Jodie cause although Landry probably won't make it, he is the better player overall on both ends.

Props where it's due. He played well on the defensive end today.
