@WojYahooNBA
In the past two weeks, Mike D'Antoni had a knee replacement surgery and isn't on his feet yet, sources tell Y!
@Mike_Bresnahan
Asst. Coach Bernie Bickerstaff will coach tonight's game vs. GS but the Lakers will conduct a national search to replace Mike Brown.

Mike D'Antoni makes a world of sense as next HC of LAL. But told he had knee surgery last week and is laid up for 6 weeks.

Remember, Lakers players were clear about wanting Brian Shaw to replace Phil Jackson. Shaw is now a Pacers assistant.

@KBergCBS
With Chuck Person in interim mix for Lakers, league source points out that whomever it is will have "Phil or D'Antoni hot on his heels."

Don't think the Lakers would fire MB if they knew D'Antoni would be out 6 weeks. I see someone getting hired before the week ends.
Excellent point.
