Chris Broussard on ESPN said they are keeping an eye out for Phil, and Phil is around
This can and will get scary. Nash, Kobe, Gasol, Dwight led by Phil. JIMP!

@WojYahooNBA
Lakers ownership has made it clear that buying out Brown's remaining $11M-plus and investing in new coach now won't be issue, sources say.

Although those D'Antoni reports coming in so early, I think it's him or Sloan. I'm happy with either, at least MB is gone.

If Phil came back, it would be nothing short of a miracle because there has been no official comments from him about coming back its all speculation.
Highly unlikely.
It will be like a shocking WWE return. 2nd quarter, Kobe turns over the ball, and fireworks go off and Phil comes out of the tunnel like Goldberg

Many organizations would have let this season ride out. Thank god we didn't.

@Mike_Bresnahan
Brown was "caught off guard" by today's firing, according to a source. It's the earliest a coach has ever been fired by the Lakers.

This team was clearly brought together to win now to wait 30-40 games in at the way we are going its not the answer for 2 major things. #1 to win now of course and #2 to keep Dwight Howard. We have to win now because Kobe and Nash are getting older we have no time to waste we have no time to plan for next year the time is NOW.

He'll assistant coach in this league until he lands another job he's coaching. I don't feel any sympathy for him though. Couldn't be happier that he's gone.brown was a nice, classy guy
but a crap coach.
