It's Detroit. They have no low post player. Drummond is a project player who is not going to reach his potential for years.Thing is against detroit.
Pau positioned himself on the block every other play and we abused them with our size and Pau had near 8 points in the first quarter abusing them. Played aggressive and set the tone.
Against a Jazz lineup of another small PF and Center combo...
Pau stays on the outside, looks to shoot jumpers, and rarely plays on the block and finishes the game with 5 points.
I have a problem with that more than anything.
KOBE. #VINO. BRYANT.

The problem is we're trying to be a "hit first" team.
In order for that to happen when we face a small PF/C combo we need to be running it through Pau and Dwight early to dominate them like we did vs Detroit.
This game Pau didn't seem to even to look for those opportunities and shot 1 for 9 and finished the game with 5 points.
I want Pau gone as much as anyone but Mike's gotta go too

Thing is, that doesn't matter, we should attempt to exploit them the same way.
They have a small PF/C lineup. running the offense through Pau and Dwight early is key to exploit that, that plus the fact Al Jefferson is one of the worst defensive 5s in the game so when I see Pau trying to play out of the post, and look for spot up jumpers and never looking to roll off of screens except the one play he did it for Kobe(and scored off of) then I know we got problems.
Pau should dominate Milsap in the post. Dwight turned over the ball a lot against Jefferson but I don't blame Dwight too much as that's a timing thing. Pau has no such excuse, he let their bench muscle him around as well.
The thing is against Detroit he looked for his shot and played the post against their smaller lineup.
Against the Jazz and another small lineup he didn't even attempt to replicate that.
That is what I have a problem with.
If we somehow land Dwight Howard AND Nash (which is one of the biggest reaches I've posted, don't think that will happen), then yeah...I have no problem with it, because Howard won't allow anyone to take Nash off the dribble 30+ minutes a game.

I honestly do not think Pau is the problem at all, Yea he played with no heart tonight but do you think Phil or Sloan would stand for that bull [expletive]? Mike cant even get the respect of his players..... hell Dwight laughed in his face in the pistons game when Brown put all the starters back in in the 4th.

Phil didn't stand for it, and Pau still didn't show up but that's rehashing the past.
Pau is getting an offense he should excel in and has played very well in that's close to the triangle he was perfect for.
Putting up 5 points against a small lineup is unacceptable. Jordan Hill got 12 rebounds off the bench 7 offensive rebounds. Pau got one offensive rebound and 7 for the night. Pau was a HUGE problem tonight among other things.
And I'm not going to excuse that by just blaming the coach. This is HIS kind of offense, in no way shape or form should he ever score 5 points in it, more or less against the likes of Al Jefferson or Milsap on him.

I have been right here Pau has still been a 17 and 11 guy thats really not bad at all it is just not up where his numbers should be. He has played heartless for the last 3 years if you want to be technical but tonight no one showed any effort at all.

Majesty you point everything that is wrong but nothing is ever wrong for Mike Brown. So dumb.
And you only blame Mike Brown while ignoring all the other players and problems.
It works both ways hypocrite

thats the reason for my pau needs to be traded thread. he just has become more of a liability on defense then he is a offensive threat.Pau has become a liability. I wonder when will people see this. Dude can't defend for [expletive]. And his offense is not needed. Then why the [expletive] do we keep him when we obviously need three point shooting in starting lineup and athleticism? Get the [expletive] done.
