Mike Brown, one week from now...

"Our defense in our second unit is still pretty bad, so I'm going to bring Dwight Howard off the bench. Robert Sacre will start at center because Kobe, Nash and Gasol score enough as it is."

Dwight said he wants to play point guard while Nash is out so MB should take him up on it! !

i,,,,,,,actually ,like, the move,guys....... i can see what Mike Brown is thinking, the 2nd unit needs someone who can create some offense from the wing.. i would have prefered CDR(perfecttttt scenario where CDR gets minuntes for us,if he wasnt cut) , and id also prefer Jamison creating offense from the elbows at the 4 spot, but, i do think Mettas improved game warrants an opportunity for him to be a big part of an offense,,,,i think his game is asking for it. (yes i think his game has improved, despite his regular season slump so far) (pre season was impressive)

Starting 5 next week: Kobe, Peace, Hill, Pau, Dwight. Rebounding juggernauts?

Reaffirming the total lack of faith that most Laker fans have in him... So far we've got a defensive coach who's defense sucks who's gone through 2 sets of assistants in 2 seasons, made Steve Nash look like Derek Fisher, turned 17ppg Antawn Jamison into Troy Murphy AND now wants to play him and our worst offensive wing out of position at the tail end of their careers while ignoring our athletic, good shooting young bench players - all while everybody learns how to play in an offense he can't coach coming off a historical offseason that gave him the most well rounded and talented starting 5 in the league?

Digging his own grave, but with this little gas left in Nash and Kobe's tank we can't afford to let it happen. Better be an ace up that sleeve Mitch, this guy is going to make you play it much sooner than anyone wants you to.

Dwight breaking ankles, Pau iso'ing all day. Sacre defending the wings, Hill raining treys playing the stretch (lol like he's been a lot lately), and Jamison playing reeeeeal big down low. I love it.

Funny thing is ya'll are joking now, but if that lineup somehow works in terms of rebounding and defense in our second unit then he'll look like a genius :P

I'll hold your word on that. But the chances of this working are quite slim...

For what it is, it's a defensive and rebounding bench lineup. Brown seems to prefer that over stretching the floor at this point. I'm guessing it's because he feels our weaknesses are second chance points and rebounding the initial misses. So we'll see if it does that, if it doesn't even accomplish that then there's no reason to go with it ever again.

I will not say anything until I watch some games with this adjustments. What if it works out nicely?

Arguably the greatest franchise ever

Metta couldn't keep up with a big small forward in Batum. Now, he's supposed to guard SGs? At this point, can he even stay in front of PFs?
