Morris is still one of our better perimeter defenders

Morris over the last week in 3 gamesand the hate rains in... he's not playing bad but they don't use him on offense at all really and don't even let him run the offense... Kobe does and when Kobe doesn't feel like passing nobody gets any touches... the games he did do good kobe passed him the ball and the game I seen last night Kobe barely even passed the ball to dwight...
Morris is still one of our better perimeter defenders
19 mins, 2 points, 1 reb, 1.3 assists 14% FG
Thats not bad....that is terrible.
Morris doesn't run the offense because he can't run the offense, he is too out of control and can't control the flow.

If it wasn't for Kobe or Dwight, Darius Morris wouldn't have a single wide-open three-pointer.and the hate rains in... he's not playing bad but they don't use him on offense at all really and don't even let him run the offense... Kobe does and when Kobe doesn't feel like passing nobody gets any touches... the games he did do good kobe passed him the ball and the game I seen last night Kobe barely even passed the ball to dwight...
The hate rains in? How many good shooting games has Morris had this season? Four out of 15.
How many times has he scored in double-digits, in those 15 games? Three times.
How about just 14 assists in his last seven games?
http://www.basketbal...01/gamelog/2013
You jumped Steve Blake's ass for the seven games he played this year (that were horrible, right?)...but you want to ignore how Darius Morris has been doing these last seven?
Morris is shooting 37% from the floor, 57% from the free throw line...and his 38% from three was actually trumped by Steve Blake's 40% before he was injured (see, it didn't stay at 45%, did it?). Blake also averaged more assists.
PER36 (to make it fair), Blake averaged 4.7 APG, 1.8 TO/G. Morris, PER36, is at 4.0 APG, 2.8 TO/G.
He's one of our better perimeter defenders? Kobe, Artest, and Meeks (lol) all have a better allowed PER.Morris is still one of our better perimeter defenders
So Darius Morris is a better defender than Steve Blake, Steve Nash, and Chris Duhon?
I cannot wait for Morris to get thrown back to the bench, so he can play some of that "elite defense" without the help of elite defensive players surrounding him + one of the best defensive anchors in the history of the game in the backcourt.
--------------------
The "hate rains in" because he's still a bench player, who cannot produce in big minutes unless spoon-fed (like Smush Parker and Tierre Brown).
Darius Morris...is Tierre Brown. They are the same player, similar statistics. Both feed off of superstars, both bench players, both low-percentage shooters overall, both gambling for steals and taking advantage of elite defensive teammates.
Your move. Go ahead and prove something...I'll wait.
--------------------
Wait...are you trying to blame Kobe for Darius Morris' pathetic play?

Because HE IS garbo.
Someone needs to make a Darius Morris 'GARBAGE' sig if one hasn't already been made.

Don't be sillyI thought people were already crowning him our primary backup PG? Or the people who wanted to start Morris and make Nash 6th man?

Strong rebuttal.
really getting tired of the Morris argument to be honest... he's not great but he's better than Blake and Duhon..and is much better on defense than both of those players... which this team is severely lacking....
Metta world peace always comes crashing into the paint when someone drives and leaves his man wide open... (which comes from not communicating on defense)
Pau just gets torched by anybody and everybody and has been for a while now...

Better than Blake or Duhon. That's awesome.really getting tired of the Morris argument to be honest... he's not great but he's better than Blake and Duhon..and is much better on defense than both of those players... which this team is severely lacking....
So Morris is probably the 9th best player on this team? He's better than...
Blake, Duhon, DJO, Sacre, Clark, and Ebanks
I now see why you brag about him so much. Hell of an accomplishment.
That someone that drives is usually the PG, just so you know. Can't blame him for doing that...you give up the three to protect the rim. That's why Ron Artest has a championship ring as arguably the best, or second best, defender on our team in 2010.Metta world peace always comes crashing into the paint when someone drives and leaves his man wide open... (which comes from not communicating on defense)
Yep, and so does Steve Nash (who has for all of his career), and he's a two-time MVP. If you're trying to justify Morris' play by pointing out Gasol's weakness on defense, why not point out Nash's back in...say...2006? Nash was a wreck on the defensive end.Pau just gets torched by anybody and everybody and has been for a while now...
Is Morris' defense, today, better than Nash's defense in 2006? We're talking the 2006 MVP, by the way.
Doesn't mean jack. Morris couldn't hold Nash's jock. Darius is a better defender than Blake and Duhon? Super. Blake knows how to run an offense better. Game, set, match.

Duhon is the best defender out of all the PGs
that's why he gets torched every single fourth quarter huh? jameer hit back to back 3's on Duhon and didn't even pressure the ball to force a turnover last night.... I'm sorry but his defense is garbage by far...

I'm sorry but his defense is garbage by far...
