Getting Dwight and Nash (Dwight in particular) added years to his career, if we get Irving/Love in 2 years it will add more. Kobe isn't retiring till he can no longer play at a high level (knock on wood) hopefully that's not anytime soon.

This. It's a simple concept, really. Kobe is still putting up 40 points and can do so any game if he chooses to take over. It will be when he has to go all out just to skim 25 points, when he'll consider retiring.

He is probably better than 80% of the current players in the NBA even when he's 40. However, I think a lot of Lakers fans here will push Kobe out for Lebron James any day of the week. I would love Kobe to stay as a Laker as long as we want though.
