Trade idea: Paul Millsap and Marvin Williams

Protected 1st rounder from Utah
Metta World Peace
(Jazz and Lakers would each have to waive a player beforehand.)
Lakers downgrade a little bit at PF to upgrade at SF. They're both athletic players too. Kevin Murphy makes the salaries work in the trade.
Timberwolves get the player they've wanted for a long time. They need to give up all those players for the salaries to work, so they get a draft pick back as well.
Jazz get a lot of players back. They need a back-up PG and could use a defensive presence on D in the middle. Derrick gets to see time at both SF and PF to determine which position is best for him. For getting all these players back, they Jazz need to take back Metta's contract and give up a draft pick to Minnesota.

Prefer that instead.
Cut out Minny and make it a straight up trade between the Lakers and Utah. Lakers get Paul Millsap, Mo Williams, and Raja Bell and Utah gets Gasol and Steve Blake. We downgrade some at the 4 but get a playmaking PG who comes off the bench and gives us scoring.
