Kinda tough for me to take a Twitter account that refers to itself as an "insider" seriously.

Funny though because the other reports all seem legitimate, but then that one blaring at the top is sort of O_O

Like I read through all the other articles on the blogspot about Rose, and Nash and it's all pretty common stuff and Rip Hamilton's MRI on his foot. The only one blaring is that Pau Gasol one.

If we somehow land Dwight Howard AND Nash (which is one of the biggest reaches I've posted, don't think that will happen), then yeah...I have no problem with it, because Howard won't allow anyone to take Nash off the dribble 30+ minutes a game.

I love the blog entry about the trade though, gave me a good laugh:

Pau Gasol has been traded to the Atlanta Hawks in exchange for Josh Smith. The move was finalized late this afternoon and was "a trade that needed to be made" according to Hawks GM Danny Ferry. More information to come as it is released.

Alright I admit it, I'm on the Lakers channel, and when I heard it break from original programming straight to Access Sportsnet and heard "Hello Welcome to Access Sportsnet with a special report on the Lakers."

My heart skipped a beat cause I thought "OH SNAP!!!!"

But then I realized it was part of the Backstage Lakers episode

Pau getting rested = more minutes for Hill. They're showcasing him. Hill might be the one most likely moved to fill in the other needs of the team he has a friendly contract as well

Even if Jamison goes off tonight I hope that doesn't affect Pau's spot on the team...Jamison is 36 after all

D'Antoni just said Pau is out tomorrow for NOLA game as well

Pau said an MRI on knees is possible after Lakers return home early Saturday. Safe to say he won't play in NO or OKC

Its basically the Kobe and Howard show now. Time for Kobe to go on those epic 40 point games hopefully guys like Hill, Meeks, MWP rally around him.

Pau said knee pain and stiffness led to plays he didn't get to or finish "a couple times every game, and it's been frustrating."

Pau has finished games "very sore" but has resisted sitting out "especially when things haven't been going so well" for Lakers.

If we go 3-0 on this road trip. Do we trade Pau or Benched him with Jamison?

This what I thought would happen with MDA, if the team doesn't have the type of players he wants, he gets annoyed and starts complaining rather than changing his system.
It's like Chris Webber said, MDA has quit on his team before.

IF Hill AND Jamison play extremely well it will make trading Pau easier that's for sure.

Hope he recovers well. Atlanta is gonna need him :bleh:

Imo, wait and see how he plays with Nash. :))

if the lakers want to get a starting PF back(and make Hill's signing irrelevant) then ill take a Illysova and Udrih package over any deal with one team (over smith/shooter) .. why?illysova can shoot 3s, smith cant, and Udrih could help lead our 2nd unit, while a shooter(see jodie meeks' impact on the 2nd unit) ........ ..

On the other hand , if the Lakers wish to NOT make the signing of Jordan Hill irrelevant, then, you trade pau for wing pieces,,, which is what i want..

"The West aint close, now that the LAL got Dwight, who gon stop him on OKC!????" - Chris Webber (nba tv -August)

Big 4s are OVERRATED. you think Nash/Kobe/Dwight cant carry the whole Offensive load!?
(Peace Pau we need pieces, not MettaWorldPieces!!!!!!!!)
