14 PPG/9.5 RBDs and 19.00 PER say otherwise...but then I only watch the games. You just spew nonsense.
Horrible defense doesn't show up in the stat sheet Hollinger. Can't base everything off PER. Pau is also shooting 42% from the floor.. that is absolute trash for a big man

Pau isn't complaining about a lack of touches..he's asking from more touches in the paint.
He would shoot better than 43% is everything wasn't a jumpshot from the elbow or the wing.

Pau is right.
And what's your excuse for Pau when he plays the 5 with the bench unit with Jordan Hill playing the 4 and still never looks to post?
If we somehow land Dwight Howard AND Nash (which is one of the biggest reaches I've posted, don't think that will happen), then yeah...I have no problem with it, because Howard won't allow anyone to take Nash off the dribble 30+ minutes a game.
You should reach more often

I love Kobe...but have you watched his defense?
Again, I will not say that Pau is a great defender...he is not. But we have a bunch of guys who coast on D...whether it's to avoid fouls and stay in the game or simply as a way to conserve energy for offense, I cannot say.
But Pau is not the only one who's guilty.
He is the one left holding the bag quite often, and he's the fan designated scapegoat as well.

He has time in the paint ut all he does is pass it out. Just cuz he doesnt shoot it in the paint which is his own fault doest mean that doesnt count as a touch in the paint. Every time that guy gets the ball down low he turns around holds onto it for 6-8 seconds while doing that stupid jab step that is fooling no one then either taks a horrible outside shot or passes it.Pau isn't complaining about a lack of touches..he's asking from more touches in the paint.

He doesn't get the opportunity as much because the bench has poor post entry passers. When he does get it, he's often too far out and needs a repost. What usually ends up happening is he has to take a turnaround jumper or a shot across the lane.

Kobe is a good defender when he needs to be, and so is Gasol, but Gasol just hasn't shown that at all this year. He's horrible on his rotations with Dwight most of the time and just gets bullied around by everyone else. There's a reason he's the fan designated "scapegoat".. its because he is paid 20 MILLION / year and he has not played like that at all lately. We are good when Pau is good but we're bad when he's bad... and now we're 6-7

Kobe is 34 and basically carrying the whole team on his back, so for him to pick his spots on defense and then focus on the offense is the way to go, i think.
Pau is good one-on-one, when it's against a 5 or slow 4. But against the quick 4s or tough players he is horrible. Pau needs to pick it up on the defensive end.

Showcase his talent at the center spot
Then trade him for a stretch 4 And a couple shooter
We don't need an all star for Pau
We need able bodied NBA players

I have yet to see one actualy possible trade senerio were we could get josh smith.
The one we're going for is Josh Smith and stevenson, or korver or morrow(won't happen most likely)
The only way I can see them accepting it is if we can give them something by December 15th or if Josh won't commit to resigning by the trade deadline or the all-star break.
It's pretty evident that the Lakers are going after Josh Smith aggressively. The only scenario outside of a 3 team deal(which is also being discussed) is Pau for Smith+1. Least till December 15th.
If we somehow land Dwight Howard AND Nash (which is one of the biggest reaches I've posted, don't think that will happen), then yeah...I have no problem with it, because Howard won't allow anyone to take Nash off the dribble 30+ minutes a game.

even if we got Smith he would just be a rental
A rental is better than a car that takes up garage space but can no longer run

No he wouldn't. He would sign a long-term deal with LA this summer along with his good buddy Dwight.
