Pau's offense is not the problem...

Not sure if he was actually saying the Lakers won't win with him...he says:

"...but Pau Gasol being your big man, particularly your lone big man, is not going to deliver a championship for you."

I think that was Smith trying to point out that Dwight is very important to the Lakers, and that without him, and with Gasol being the man in the middle, LA would not win it all...and that any team that brings in Gasol as their lone big man would not get it done, either.

Let's see if Pau can pick it up, right now he's got 27 minutes of playing time and 6 points on 2-9 shooting from the field.

I only watched the 4th quarter tonight, but I saw enough Pau abuse to last me through the holidays.

I always disagreed with people who said he was un-tradeable because he was able to put up consistent numbers throughout the regular season despite his playoff struggles.

Not the case now. He might be.

Okay...Pau is playing the worst I've ever seen him, period. Offense and defense, Memphis and LA.

At some point, we aren't going to be able to make up for that, when teams continue to take advantages of those mismatches he helps them create.

I honestly could not think Gasol's defense could not get any worse but he's proved me wrong.

Send him to GS for Landry. We lose some size but Landry plays solid D. I'm not even worried about the offense, with Nash running the point we'll get points. But we need a solid defender at the 4

How could you not agree? You're almost not even a Laker fan at this point if you can't so obviously and easily admit how much he's killing us out there. You can't consistently trust him anymore. That's a problem.

Thing is i cant think of one trade that would actually benefit the team and would be realistic Right now we have no chance for Smith even in a 3 way. No GM would want pau. He isnt exciting he plays like crap and have a massive contract. Next maybe we can get something because his contract is ending and it would give a team cap room but we might want to go that route
