He has no value in a trade, unless the Lakers want to pick up a portion of his salary.
You have to keep him.

I doubt he is coming back
If we make the playoffs, he might.
If he still cares about playing for championships that is.

If he doesn't play in the playoffs it won't be because he doesn't care...

On this team, he's a back-up C/Go to guy for the 2nd unit..this should have been in place from the start because even going back to last year when Bynum was the feature post man, Gasol stunk up the joint

Something should be said about how much better we've looked without Pau...not just this run but the run earlier in the year...Dude's attitude about not starting or finishing games seriously disrupts chemistry

Mitch let go of Fisher because he didn't want that to happen with chemistry. But I'm sure when it came to class people thoight highest of both Fisher and Pau. But take the starting position from Pau and he becomes a completely different person. Saying if Dwight is still there next year(because it prevents you from starting) that you'd ask for a trade is problematic.
Was 2 days after their "all for one" attitude adjustment.
Pau when and if he comes back had better bring the team first mentality and know when to keep his mouth shut.
10-15 from him with our bench unit gives us an average of about 40 points from our bench if Jamison keeps playing well as well as Meeks. He could be vital for our chance at a championship, if he embraces that bench role and having a few plays here and there with Dwight it was looking like we finally found the identity as far as they were concerned.
Let's hope they keep it rolling if and when Gasol comes back.
We absolutely need Gasol to play well if we want a shot. Hopefully he puts his ego to the side for the sake of the team.
If we somehow land Dwight Howard AND Nash (which is one of the biggest reaches I've posted, don't think that will happen), then yeah...I have no problem with it, because Howard won't allow anyone to take Nash off the dribble 30+ minutes a game.
You should reach more often

I agree with your post, I am NO GASOL fan especially after his effort the last 3 years and the things you have mentioned in this post. However when Dwight was out and Gasol was back at center he played great and the flow on offense was really good. Gasol makes the Laker offense much better, especially when both Kobe and Nash are on the floor with him. Three high IQ players makes watching the game a pleasure. Dwight clogs the middle and needs to be set up to score and the offense does not flow. Dwight in my opinion is not a leader and should not be a max money player because his B-Ball IQ and skill level are questionable.Something should be said about how much better we've looked without Pau...not just this run but the run earlier in the year...Dude's attitude about not starting or finishing games seriously disrupts chemistry

Was just a dig at him because he sucked in the playoffs the past two years. But, it would be more like prioritizing I guess.
If he wants out of LA and doesn't want to risk injury...

People are so stupid... Howard is putting up career average numbers (they are pretty good career average numbers) at 75 percent health with a stacked team... Howard will get max anywhere and he is proven.
