so if they wanted gasol so badly, a trade would've taken place a month ago.
Mitch rarely makes trades BEFORE 24 hours of the deadline.
Because Mitch is waiting for just about every move or offer to be made, that way he can make the move that makes the most sense.
Ya'll are playing checkers, Mitch plays Chess
If we somehow land Dwight Howard AND Nash (which is one of the biggest reaches I've posted, don't think that will happen), then yeah...I have no problem with it, because Howard won't allow anyone to take Nash off the dribble 30+ minutes a game.

It is a pain in the butt, you try to find a way to control it, it starts to go away, then after a bad game it reappears. It is the gift that keeps on giving.

He proved to the league he is one of the best. He can pass. He can shoot. He can rebound. He can do a lot of things. I think if you use him in the right way he is a top player in this league. If they don't want him, we are more than welcome to get him.

Well, there is a winner and a loser in a chess game. Mitch has won a few, but lost alot more over the years. I dont think you really want to defend his overall record of trades and FA signings. He is no Buford or Presti. At this point, he is no Sacks either.

Buford and Presti haven't assembled rosters that have been to 3 straight Finals and won back-to-back. The Spurs haven't even been to the Finals in nearly 6 years. I swear the Mitch criticism on this board is ridiculous. We've had more success in the last decade than entire franchises have had in their existence.

The beard would be alright if he'd shave his damn neck.
Makes him look dumpy.

I know the majority don't like Pau, he ain't been right since Phil took one to his chest a few seasons back. But to play devils advocate, what kind of sense does it make to trade Pau if Dwight walks? I maybe wrong but I think they holding onto Pau to see if Dwight walks. No sense in losing two bigs and being stuck with Sacre. (No offense baby joker). Trust and believe he needs to go or get a coach in here that can use his strengths as Phil did., but that ain't happening.
Pau doesn't give us anything even if Dwight leaves. He doesn't magically start producing or become a game-changer for us. What good is it to have a $19M starting center who won't post up, prefers shooting jumpers all night long, and won't protect the paint? That's throwing money down the drain. There is no positive to keeping Pau as an insurance policy for Dwight, he just doesn't produce or perform how we need him to.
Whatever deal we can get, we'd better take it. He is terrible in almost all facets of the game at this point. Even his passing has become lacking to where he telegraphs everything when he brings the ball over his head.

@Gambo620: The stories about the Suns being interested in Josh Smith are ridiculous, there is zero interest there -ZERO!
@AlexKennedyNBA @ryguyaz I triple checked it, Suns have NO interest in Josh Smith. And have never even had a conversation with ATL about him
This is the guy that broke the Nash story.
