Al Jefferson for Pau Gasol
Utah Jazz are looking to move Al Jefferson
not gunna happen mang. no way. they'll move one of their bigs, and theyll get a wing.no point in just swapping bigs, even if they get rid of two. they have a good trade piece to improve the team, have two bigs(that are already there),and get a wing.
"The West aint close, now that the LAL got Dwight, who gon stop him on OKC!????" - Chris Webber (nba tv -August)
Big 4s are OVERRATED. you think Nash/Kobe/Dwight cant carry the whole Offensive load!?
(Peace Pau we need pieces, not MettaWorldPieces!!!!!!!!)

Hopefully a Love/Gasol trade happens. I think we can hang around hte playoff picture until Love returns 1st week of March. Minny injuries are piling up like crazy
I hope that if that fantasy doesn't become a reality that we could at least get Lebron for Pau. No chance minny trades Love for anyone on the Lakers not named Kobe or Dwight.

Source: http://insider.espn....ors/post?id=481Per 1500ESPN.com's Darren Wolfson, Minnesota Timberwolves president David Kahn has been attempting to acquire a big man.
"Kahn was aggressively working the phone Wednesday and Thursday way more than normal for mid-January and is making some progress on a trade. The source said it's for more of a big guy, not a wing," he wrote.
"The most likely player to be sent elsewhere is forward Derrick Williams. Multiple team and league sources say he's being shopped heavily."
Likely not coincidentally, Williams made his first start since mid-November on Thursday and played 31 minutes (second most this season) and finished with 10 points and 7 boards.
It's not clear which teams are in the mix for a trade with the Wolves, but Wolfson said Minnesota isn't interested in the Portland Trail Blazers' J.J. Hickson or the Atlanta Hawks' Josh Smith, though they may reconsider their stance on trading for the Memphis Grizzlies' Rudy Gay.
"The source said if a trade for Gay comes, expect center Nikola Pekovic to go out, likely in a three-team deal," Wolfson noted. "The Wolves won't have Gay and Pekovic together, fearing the salary ramifications starting next year."
In the short term, Pek is expected to miss seven to 10 days due to his quadriceps injury, according to the Star-Tribune's Kent Youngblood.

Sorry if this has already been posted. I saw it just now on ESPN Insider. Doesn't directly mention Pau, but obviously the Wolves have been in connected to him in the past.

Let's hope Pau is involved! I'm not sure what type of deal would be possible.
I mean, for the salaries to match they'd had to give up 3-4 guys.

I don't want minnys garbage!!!!
If "minnys garbage" is Peckovic, Derrick Williams and two fillers i think we should pull the trigger. In fact, any deal they'd be interested in doing and matches the salary with Pau i'd do - same goes with Cleveland and whoever else might be interested in Pau.
The only trade i wont do is Bargnani and Calderon.

So you would take a [expletive] contract like barea? This is what I'm going to say. If the lakers are not on a roll by the trade deadline, Mitch will do one of two thingsIf "minnys garbage" is Peckovic, Derrick Williams and two fillers i think we should pull the trigger. In fact, any deal they'd be interested in doing and matches the salary with Pau i'd do - same goes with Cleveland and whoever else might be interested in Pau.

1. He will trade Gasol for josh smith. Im telling you Mitch will get us smith easily.
2. Mitch will get another super deal where we trade Gasol for a star that will be our future with Howard. Trust me when I say he can get Kevin love.
IMO we will be ok and in contention. He will get either josh smith or Kevin love.
