Why would a GM trade expiring contracts of young guys, for non expiring contracts of old guys? Are they fans of the team or something.
The players wouldn't be as good as Pau might be in a different situation. That's why the Lakers should try to trade him right now before he lowers his value even further.
You have to hope some team values him as a player.

I am just saying that is what he exactly said about Andrew Bynum. We all know how that turned out. And when he said he loves Pau, it was probably just a PR stunt. The Lakers are probably going to (or are at the moment) shop him. I was just trying to make that connection between him and Bynum.I know this is business.
Hope? I am probably one of the most optimistic members in this forum. I still believe. There are people here who have already given up all hope. I do not blame them. Most of us are not used to losing. Everyone's expectations was championship or bust before the season started. Now, some of us are just praying for us to even make the playoffs. This team missing the playoffs will be one of the biggest disappointments in all of professional sports history. However, there are issues the front office needs to address if we want to get back into the playoff race. I am just worried that we are going to dig ourselves into a hole that it will be too late to dig out. We'll see how this team starts performing tonight, considering our season begins today according to MDA.

I still think I only like him playing back-up minutes, but in the post where he could still possibly be productive.

Just wish we had Phil Jackson so they could ask him if a big trade is coming:
I loved those pre-game Phil talks. Bold!

I keep thinking one of these days I will see a tweet from Woj saying:
LA Lakers in talks with (insert team here) to trade Pau Gasol for (insert player(s) here).

Haha , I can't even imagine what it'd be like on here if these forums existed in the dry years between the 1988 and 2000 championships.... Maybe a bunch of "Trade Teagle!", "Fire Magic!", and "Sedale Sucks" threads

for a unit with nash - earl with his ablility to stretch the floor>hill.
(i hope we trade pau for some wing depth) (really hope)
(also, its comforting to believe in my "handle" on this site once again)(good for the team)
"The West aint close, now that the LAL got Dwight, who gon stop him on OKC!????" - Chris Webber (nba tv -August)
Big 4s are OVERRATED. you think Nash/Kobe/Dwight cant carry the whole Offensive load!?
(Peace Pau we need pieces, not MettaWorldPieces!!!!!!!!)

So we got Earl Clack whos playing like decent and we all are on the bandwagon for this guy. I hope he continue play well this season and the future. What Im thinking and realizing he gets the work as Pau but 10x cheaper and plays with heart and passion.
He got 12, 9, 3 block shots. Similar to Pau's stats lol.
What we can do to expand this team, I would put Pau at 5th with the 2nd unit comin from the bench and he can get (hopefully) 15-20 points with 8+rebs a game. pretty much a dominate pau. But, is it worth for a 20 mill guy comin from a bench? Some of you say his ego won't allow it. blah blah, but why not? Ron did it and paid of for him
or
We can trade him and get 2 role players back or get rudy gay.
What ya think?
