"The West aint close, now that the LAL got Dwight, who gon stop him on OKC!????" - Chris Webber (nba tv -August)
Big 4s are OVERRATED. you think Nash/Kobe/Dwight cant carry the whole Offensive load!?
(Peace Pau we need pieces, not MettaWorldPieces!!!!!!!!)

I'll take the more complete player in George, who can average nearly just as many points in only his third year in the league, making FAR less money.
Gay isn't even a Monta Ellis scoring the basketball, and to be honest, if I was looking for a reliable second option (we're actually looking for a third option), I would take Ellis before Rudy.

george or gay, ill admit its very close. the question is,what does your team need. does it need a scorer to lead a unit or team in scoring - (Gay,he creates his own shot) OR do you want a 3point shooter/defender/floor runner/guy to play off of a playmaker on O - george

Paul George all the way. 10x the player on both ends. My fav SG behind Kobe. Reminds me of a Young Tracy Mcgrady
(lesser handles and passing of course)
FOR SURE rudy gay is more of a tmac type than george. gay is an iso player, like tmac,,,george is not an iso player.
cmon son

im sorry by playmaking i meant in general. george cant make plays for himself off the dribble yet. he needs a playmaker to get him the ball where he has an advantage, like i said. and gay is having an off year shooting the ball(shooting 41% avg 18ppg)(so far off from 20) and every other year since his rookie year, hes avg at least 19ppg, and 20ppg twice. hes a perennial 20ppg scorer(albeit right at 20ppg).

No! Not even close! George can def create his own shot and can iso. Have u even been watching the pacers games?
Plus he is better than Danny even if he wasn't injured at all.

• Team executives involved in exploratory trade talks report that the Knicks (Amar'e Stoudemire), Lakers (Pau Gasol), Raptors (Bargnani) and Celtics (Paul Pierce) are open to discussing their high-profile names. In every case but one, the early indications are that none could be moved without a bad contract going back in return. (In Stoudemire's case, his health and the $45 million left on his contract after this season almost certainly will prevent any deal from happening.) The lone exception, executives say, may be Pierce, whose ruthless scoring prowess and championship experience come with another attractive feature: only $4 million of his $15.3 million salary is guaranteed next season. With the Celtics playing better since Avery Bradley returned from injury, president Danny Ainge once again finds himself trying to determine whether the remnants of the 2007-08 championship team have enough to make one more run. Some rival executives believe the Celtics recently waived Jarvis Varnado and Kris Joseph to create roster flexibility for a potential trade. If Ainge decides to stand pat, a deal involving Pierce -- which would mark the true end of the Big Three era -- could be re-examined around the draft or during free agency.

for the lakers Gay still better option for right now
Not really. This season is over. Next season Pau will have tremendous value as a huge expiring contract to the lakers and any potential trade partners.

Haha, well, the Pacers have been trying to trade Granger for two years now, and George was pushed into the starting role near the end of his rookie season (for about 20 games) because the Pacers were so high on him. Started all of last season, and he's now their best player this year.Paul George is going no where. If Danny Granger was healthy, Indiana would be trying to trade him. So lets be realistic.
Has nothing to do with Granger's injury.

Need someone who can be there every night, hit shots, get to the rim. That way once Dwight is healthy we have 3 guys who are there every night.
Paul George is probably better than gay but he's not available.

If the goal is to win a ring. It's going to have to involve a majority of the NBA.

I've never been a believer in going that route, which is why Pau should've been traded last season. This team has needed help in other areas for a long time. Those areas have just been more exposed this season.
