Why are people getting all riled up about rudy gay. Literally no reports have involved the lakers. He isnt coming here.

There was also no reports of the Lakers having involvement with Pau Gasol either FYI. But again, just talk. Not everything has to have fact behind it

Don't look too much into the DJO thing. Yesterday was the deadline to cut players with non-guaranteed contracts or they became guaranteed.

But it makes you think right? I mean wouldn't they have cut him earlier, or at least give him a chance? He averaged 20/5/5 in the D-league which is like 7/2/2 in the NBA lol. He wasn't bad.

As far as all the Lakers reporters I follow know, they said it was simply a money issue. It's not uncommon for teams to go all the way up till deadline then cut players, a few teams did that yesterday.

I always wanted Rudy Gay as a laker. He is the definition of what we need right now, which is an athletic wing that can play decent defense and create a shot for himself.

I would love Rudy as well. The only thing I could see going south on this is his contract. Isn't it something like 3 years and like 57-58 mil left?

It would be nice, but I would almost be afraid of getting another quantity shooter in the starting lineup. You would have guys like Kobe, Rudy, and Dwight wanting their shots. There probably wouldn't be enough touches to go around. I'm all for another quantity shooter off the bench, but we don't really need it in the starting lineup.

His contract will work out for the big FA coming up. Contract isn't a problem. Getting him here is a problem. We won't get him without a three team or four team trade.

Like I said earlier in this thread, Gay's contract actually works out well because he has a player option that could make him a free agent in the 2014 off-season

Lol. You really don't know basketball. I know exactly what you imagine when you think of Rudy gay, him dunking. It's not that easy. Just like Dwight when you thought of Dwight coming here you thought lobs, dunks, and blocks. Not that easy, those are just highlights. Monta Ellis has more skill than Rudy. Rudy is just more athletic that's it
