C'mon Marc, convince management you want to team up with your Brother.
There's no chance Gasol is going to Memphis with Randolph there. If the Lakers somehow acquire Gay, it would be a three team deal

I think I made a trade like this a while ago..

Heck, to really make it work, Minny could get a 4th team involved to take Pekovic and kick down some prosepcts and/or draft picks to Memphis.

Could work.
The only reason why I'd see the Lakers not doing it is because I feel they want either a back up SF or back up PG involved in a deal

Well, maybe we can swap Blake for Ridnour somehow lol.Could work.

But I wouldn't complain if we're left with Rudy Gay at the end of the day.

I remember reading these stories about the Grizz getting Pau back, but these where in the summer time. I wonder if they still want him.
June 18, 2012This is the kind of thing that you can tell was likely sourced from the Lakers side of things, to 1. increase value for Gasol on the market and 2. gauge reaction. Memphis would have two options for trading back for Gasol. One, they could send Rudy Gay, giving the Lakers a sub-elite wing on a massive contract as the Lakers try and limit their payroll in advance of the repeater tax going into effect in 2015, or they can package Zach Randolph, Marc Gasol, or a combination of the two for Gasol.

If the lakers actually get this guy then they wont be able to make an impact in the FA market like they said they would.

Gay is a pipe dream, but he won't come here because he knows he would instantly become a role player.
You act like he has a choice

Well not sucks, I mean his contract is pretty [expletive]ing long.why get him when you can sign someone better by the same amount/less $(or maybe someone a lil more like lebron ;]) in the off season? I wouldnt mind a pau for gay straight up trade though, but we all know that's not going to happen.Gay sucks? Really?
Okay.

"The West aint close, now that the LAL got Dwight, who gon stop him on OKC!????" - Chris Webber (nba tv -August)
Big 4s are OVERRATED. you think Nash/Kobe/Dwight cant carry the whole Offensive load!?

If it helps them, why not? This applies to every team. Do you think the Nuggets really wanted the Lakers to get Dwight? No. However, they realized that if they got involved and by acquiring AI, their team gets better too.would the grizz really want to help the lakers get better? dont think so,,,everyone likes where the lakers are right now.especially good teams in the west
KOBE. #VINO. BRYANT.
