You crazy? Ellis can play the 1 or the 2. He is one of the best at the basket finishers in the game, we only have one other player that can do that. He can shoot and drive. Think of him as the Jamal Crawford for this team.

No lakers actually need someone who can actually hit open 3's, meeks cant hit open 3's, ellis can. I remember ellis dropping 48points on okc and drawing and 1's against ibaka. Lakers need someone like him.

We are in the bottom five in the league in bench scoring. We have one guy on our team that can get to the rim and finish on a daily basis. How would he not "solve any of our glaring problems" Ellis is EXACTLY what this team needs.

I know, our bench sucks.

But if we ONLY get Ellis, we're still going to have the same problems on defense which is what is really killing us. Ellis isn't going to help us shoot 3's or play great D. I like Ellis, but if it's a 1 for 1 swap I don't like it.

You want a player based on a stat line?

Ellis would be nice, but he's not EXACTLY what this team needs. Kevin Love is a better fit, Iggy is a better fit, Rudy Gay is a better fit.

Is Ellis more realistic? Probably. But don't say he's exactly what this team needs because he's not. Perimeter defense would still be a problem and outside shooting would still be a problem.
