I wouldn't say there's no way, Kirilenko isn't exactly untouchable. He's playing great but Minnesota would love to put Gasol/Love in the front court.

Pekovic would be valuable as trade bait or simply make him come off the bench to give them depth.

This is the most logical trade if Minnesota wants Pau.

That would make us scary deep. Plus,Kirilenko is a great passer,though Pau is slightly better. And Williams would maybe finally blossom under Kobe's mentorship. I could see this trade happening.

The fact is Kahn and Adelman love the thought of Gasol in their offense. Adelman's recipe for success in Sacramento was due in large part to Chris Webber and Vlade Divac. The Wolves look at Love and Gasol as comparable to that duo. Gasol is an excellent passer. Adelman loves big men who excel at that. A team source said Taylor is willing to go over the luxury tax for the 2013-14 season if the right deal presents itself. I still have no idea why they want gasol so much. I doubt they will giv up love for him cuz it seems like they want them together but I think a 3 team trade with them trading away pecklovic and us getting dereck williams and maybe another with some others included may work. Again though I doubt we see this until the 15th at the earliest or even the trade deadline on feb 21. I really hope though we dont have pau at the end of this season. I just cant stand the guy.

"One of the best" doesn't mean he's top five. He's up there with Joakim Noah, though, who is the anchor of the 5th-best defensive team in the NBA (with a little help from Deng and Gibson, of course) and Roy Hibbert, who is playing very good defense this season.

Tony Allen, Serge Ibaka, Tyson Chandler, a healthy Dwight Howard, Avery Bradley (if he wasn't injured and in a suit), Arron Afflalo, Andre Iguodala, Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, Roy Hibbert, Luol Deng, Joakim Noah, Rajon Rondo, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James...Varejao fits somewhere. He is the best, and the only, defensive player in Cleveland...and he has been a very good big man defender for years now, and his help defense stands out on a team that needs it more than most.

When the statement is "one of the best" to me that means top 5 or top 10... which I feel he is not.... Varejo is a good defensive big man I do know that but he is not one of the best

Honestly I think snagging Barea should be a priority. He would be an EXCELLENT back-up to Nash. He was as responsible for that Dallas sweep as Dirk was.
