if indiana wants to go granger and west then that's something i'd like but looking around the league i see nothing. maybe we can snag tyreke evans from sacramento considering they don't want to resign him but are we really gonna give up pau for jason thompson and tyreke evans

and what does tyreke evans even play here, and the kings would never trade a damn thing to the lakers even if they get the better player

those are the only two potential deals i even considered to be worth moving gasol

If the Lakers wanted to get something done, then something can get done. It doesn't need to be a trade involving only 2 teams. I think any number of teams can be involved in a trade.

I think we differ on what Pau's value is though. One return for Pau that comes to my mind is Marvin Williams and Paul Millsap. By the looks of your 2 ideas, you might think that's too little though.

i don't think marvin williams adds much over artest. millsap however i would love. but having said that i don't think Utah is giving him up. out of everyone there i'd love gordon hayward. but again asking for millsap and hayward is impossible. but that'd make us unstoppable

Would any of these teams do this trade? just playing around so no need to be harsh. also keep in mind some players from the lakers cant be traded yet. http://espn.go.com/n...tradeId=b8wqc7d

Lakers out
Gasol
Mwp
Blake
Clark

Lakers in
Smith
Bynum
Prince
Morrow

New roster
Nash/Bynum/Morris/Duhon
Bryant/Morrow/Meeks
Prince/Ebanks
Smith/Jamison
Howard/Hill/Sacre

I think lakers would have to cut DJO. morrow and bynum are a long shot but atlanta is stacked at sg. again keep in mind meeks cant be traded yet so it could be meeks for morrow. and if will bynum is not possible maybe udrih to the lakers instead?

Milwaukee out
Jennings
Dalembert
Udrih
Mbah a Moute

Milwaukee in
Gasol
Teague
Blake
maybe a pick from lal, atl or detroit?

New roster
Teague/Blake
Ellis/Dunleavy
Illysova/
Gooden/Sanders
Gasol/Przybilla

Atlanta out
Smith
Morrow
Teague

Atlanta in
Jennings
Dalembert
Mbah a Moute
Daye
Clark
maybe a pick from Lal, Mill and Detroit?

New roster

Jennings/Harris
Korver/Williams
Stevenson/Clark
Horford/Johnson/Daye
Dalembert/Pachulia

Detroit
Udrih
Mwp
maybe a pick from lal or mil?

This is without Detroit involved
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=bcoeouq

lakers definitely need to get atl involved with other teams. idk who would take gasol's contract but honestly he really does got to go. he's soft defensively and offensively. His jumpers arent going, maybe he is tired but he still looks sluggish out there. howard, gasol, kobe and mwp all want to post up. lakers have to find a way to get gasol going consistently and also find a way to get mwp to stop over dribbling. if gasol wont get traded then mwp as to. lakers need to get faster with a starting sf and a bench scorer someone like morrow.

Lakers are the G.O.A.T.

I think trading Pau for something the Lakers would like would take at least 2 other teams. I think only specific teams would be interested in Pau with his money. Trade him to a team that likes him for pieces more teams would like to return. Then, send those pieces to a 3rd team for player(s) the Lakers could use.

Millsap should be available. They have Favors waiting in the wings and Millsap becomes a free agent after this season. Millsap has been one of the biggest names some people who cover the NBA think will be traded at some point this season.

Evans/Thompson would set us up now and in the future. Evans is great and Thompson can be an elite help defender. If they landed that trade, I'd expect Brown out, D'Antoni in forthwith.

i love gasol, i just think we need a josh smith like player who can play the 3 and 4 effectively offensively and defensively. he can hit the mid range jumper, play in transition, post up, basket cuts, is extremely athletic and is a great defender 1 on 1 and team wise. he'll give us the youth and athletism we have been lacking.

It's bad enough we got rid of Bynum, one of the only TRUE centers in the league, it would be stupid to give up the rest of our length and only back up center (with experience) over 250lbs. Everyone needs to relax until we get through 25% of the season. (then evealuate) I'm not saying D12 is not a center but he is more of a 6'10" Power Forward Plus. And if you think he's 6'11" just look at him standing next to Mitch. Just give it some time for us to GEL and get healthy!!! Unless you have LeBron and Wade on your team, you're going to need really good Big Men

the league has changed, we've been getting owned by smaller units for the past couple of years. if gasol isn't gonna play like he's 7'1 250, what the point of having him?

Even though I wouldn't prefer trading Pau because I actually feel like he is one of the few players that actually seem fitted to the offense right now.
Although if we were to trade him, the only possible or reasonable thing is to send him or a package to Atlanta, I doubt things will get complicated and involve 3-4 teams.

This trade may seem like a long shot but it actually does make sense for both teams.

Sound illogical and dumb to me.
