  1. Pau: "I just kept going to the same move without making adjustments and that’s something that a player with my experience shouldn’t do"

    he must read the forums.

Something about Kobe's smile says a sinister "By the way, you'll be coming with us from now on..."

Pau is struggling because he's not playing with a player that gets double teamed. Once Kobe gets back he'll play much better.

Oh is that way?

All those open jumpers and easy baskets around the rim will magically start to fall once Kobe returns.

Let's chill. He helped win us two titles

Are people gonna bash Kobe if his Achilles doesn't allow him to play well anymore

I mean pau has no knees

It's not health with Pau, it's heart...has been for years.

I would never bash Kobe because he would never show the kind of lack of heart & passion that the Llama has been trotting out onto the court for the past 3 seasons...

Pau has been struggling with his knees for years now. It's obvious he can't move, he's played more basketball in the last 6 years than anyone. The guy can barely move

It's easy to question heart and passion

Much harder to look at the whole picture and think maybe the guy just isn't physically capable. He doesn't move even half as well as he did during the 2 titles

neither does Andre Miller, but he posts up more effectively than Pau nowadays ;)

Andre miller posts up 6-1 guards who never play post defense when he's like 6-2 215lbs

Pau has to post up centers and PFs who are constantly defending the post and used to the physical play down low

Pau really can't move anymore. It's apparent. Pau tries to post up and can't back down at all, can't get any lift on his hook

Phil Jackson was thumping Pau in the chest trying to wake him up and play with passion & energy.  That was the 2011 playoffs.  I doubt his lack of energy even back then had anything to do with his knees...

All summer long, it was getting stronger, getting healthier and looking for a great season. Weight room and getting stronger. Now he gets in here playing like he is out of shape. Look, I get that he has no knees, well adjust.he can't jump, his jumper is short becuase it. He looked really slow while unibrow was running like a gazelle getting those full court passes and lobs. He just looked dejected and worn out already.

I'm one of the people that love pau. He is a great person and teammate unfortunately this a business and he is not doing anything to help us.

He was too young to start declining when he did. He turned 30 before the beginning of the 2010-2011 season. It just doesn't go with the normal decline. Other big guys who had knee issues during their careers didn't decline as fast as Pau has.

He's supposed to be the most versatile big man in the game. He should be able to adjust to his declining athleticism.

I have no idea why we keep playing him so much when kaman and hill are playing so well. He's shooting 35% for a damn 7 footer. He has every chance in the world to post up and take it low yet he continues to stay out of the post. Its only gonna get worst as the season continues.

lol

You want dirk over pau? That would be a lateral move.

Wasn't pau supposed to have back to backs off? He contributes nothing so what's the hold up?

Not his fault he's WAY overpaid.

Mitch has a history of bad contracts.

No that is Nash that they are doing that with.

If the Lakers have 2 starters that need to sit out back to back games then they might as well just forfeit the rest of the season...

He was okay before the cold/flu.

Add that to B2B. Plus Davis tired him out.

He will play better Sunday

Gasol just seems to lose ALL energy at some point.   Which is causing us to have to rest him for longer periods of time so he can manage to close the game, the thing is he has to stay out so long in some stretches he'll never get his rhythm.

It's like night and day, I saw him last night do a few dunks early he actually started the game well but then from the 3rd on he just had NOTHING left.

his energy just goes up and down and up and down and when it's down it stays down.
