If we can swing him to Utah for Millsap + Caroll/Burks + 2nd rounder I would be ecstatic

Also, Favors must want an opportunity to start as well. He's only 21 and averaged 9&7 in 23 mpg. So maybe Favors+Hayward for Pau?

Lmao

"I was pretty clear when I met with Mitch. I said, 'I want Pau here.'

"It's not even a question. It's not even a discussion. I think he gives us the best chance to win titles. You bring Dwight back and we're off and running.

"You have to look at how well we started playing together once this thing got solved. It finally got solved and we were all clicking and rolling. That's my message."

Bryant also had a message for Howard, who will be an unrestricted free agent on July 1.

"We all pride ourselves on being businessmen to a certain extent," Bryant said. "I think from a business standpoint it makes more sense, both contractually, and also perception-wise. This is an incredible market. It's a great place. A lot of things go well for you when you win here.

"If I was him, I'd re-sign."

Gasol said that Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak told him during his exit meeting Tuesday that he could be moved in the offseason. ("I'd prefer to stay, but I'm prepared if I'm not," Gasol said.)

oh for real!?is this real? that means if dwight stays; then Pau's a gonner for sure, for sure.

Kobe and Randle led Lakers lead the team to a 32-50 record. the Lakers select Myles Turner with the 5th pick.

I actually think it's the other way around. I think Dwight loves to play with Pau.

Here is the thing.

Mitch wants Dwight to tell him sometime in June or July whether he's going to be here or not.

If Dwight is then Mitch is gonna start making moves to build a roster around Dwight.  if Dwight doesn't then Mitch is gonna have to scramble.

BUT Mitch wants ample time to either build the roster or rebuild the roster so that when the season begins the Lakers will be a prepared team.

That is what Mitch has said and I commend him for it.

I wonder if Charlotte would bite on a Pau for Sessions/Henderson trade. Nobody going to CHA might as well fill up that capspace & get value for a player whos due for an extension (Henderson)

Pau is gone if there is a trade. If not then he stays. That simple. The only reason he's still on the team is cuz his trade value is [expletive] and we would rather keep pau and have his salary go off in 2014 than trade him for scrubs.

The reality of the situation is we won't know what's going to happen with Gasol until Dwight decides what he's going to do.

if Dwight leaves we're staying with Pau the entire season and that's that.

So it's best to wait to see what Dwight does before we speculate.

Thought this should be bumped. We might see some rumors etc. for Pau if we resign Dwight.

in a perfect world dwight resigns and we get something like gallinari and chandler or eric gordon and vasquez

that would be ideal.

Pau may ask for a trade after season? Well, it certainly hasn't come close to happening yet by all accounts. Doubt it does at this point now.

Then would we try and trade on of those guys for another piece? Both play the same position and we still have Metta. Unless we play Metta at the back up 4 behind let's say Earl Clark.

Pau's hoping we forget about him and he just strolls into camp like nothing happened.
