Damn those blocks and putbacks makes me want Josh Smith a whole lot more. Rudy Gay or Jish Smith????

I would say Smith, but he is not worth a max contract.

He ain't getting a max contract anywhere. Hes dreaming lol. Has he even had an all star appearance? If a team gives him a Max contract they are desperate.

Smith would take a discount to play for the Lakers. He prob wants a max deal to play for a crap team like the Hawks. He can play with his best friend Dwight here in LA.

Ain't no big time FA coming to ATL to play.

Don't think he has.

idk, we're in a league where teams are desperate for stars. And hey, Joe Johnson has a max contract. Stranger things have happened. Just saying though, if he's dead set on trying to get a max deal, he's not going to be here.

He may take a discount to play for the Lakers, but how much of a discount? Imagine if we trade Pau for Smith and then Dwight decides to leave anyway. We'd be forced to overpay or let him walk.

You guys need to stop worrying about Dwight leaving... Leave that topic alone till after the season...

That's a problem, you know. Letting him leave for nothing.

I think the only way we keep Dwight, is if we make the playoffs. If we don't make the playoffs, i think Mitch and Jimbo are forced to trade him for the simple reason that letting him walk for nothing is unacceptable.
I'd rather have Kevin Love on a long-term deal, than rolling the dice with Howard.

Couldn't Gay just opt-out and leave us too? That shouldn't matter for this trade.

I agree the guy is not worth anywhere near max. I think people want to trade Pau for anything people were saying amnesty him beofre the season started so nothing is surprising.

He won't get a max contract anywhere. He'll realize that soon enough. That is why people are "hard up for Josh Smith."

Josh Smith's reps will speak with Hawks' GM Danny Ferry this week about Smith's future in ATL, sources say.

Smith would be a great addition to the team, I'm sure Lakers can come to a nice agreement about his contract if we do ultimately go through trying to get him.

Heres my take on pau right now. Unless we get a legit trade offer like rudy gay or josh smith or even a really good package of players I think we just deal with him this season. He has put together a good couple of games off the bench but I highly doubt this will continue.

Worst thing this team can do it count on gasol on preforming. Last year this kind of game wouldn't be anything special for him so its not like he's playing amazing. Though for coming off the bench he's doing exactly what we need from him.

Again if gay, smith, or good package deal is offered take it, if not wait till offseason and get the best deal.

I think they have a new general manager because the previous one got fired last year.

I love THIS Pau Gasol who can actually ball but I'd say, sell high before he starts slumping again.
