Honestly I think snagging Barea should be a priority. He would be an EXCELLENT back-up to Nash. He was as responsible for that Dallas sweep as Dirk was.

hes also very good in the pick n roll. oh, and hes also available.. dorrell wright for barrea was on the table a few weeks ago

Age has nothing to do with this argument

shocked

When the statement is "one of the best" to me that means top 5 or top 10... which I feel he is not.... Varejo is a good defensive big man I do know that but he is not one of the best

Safe to say that if Gasol plays like this over the next 4 games, he's done in LA. How you can be so non-existent in a game this magnitude is beyond me.

He hasn't shined since our last title. After that he failed under Phil Jackson, Mike Brown, and now D'Antoni.

So painful to watch him played like that, so soft, no heart, no effort.

He is the missing piece with the lakers but if you're playing like that I'm so sorry but you're done.

Kobe should realize that he is not winning with Pau Gasol anymore, he should consider a trade for Pau

He don't have to protect Pau for getting trade and I'm tired of what Kobe Bryant said to Gasol "He is not going anywhere"

Come on Kobe, Gasol is lost already you need to let him go

Solid in the NY and Portland games. Garbage in all the other games. Time for a trade.

Kobe isn't the one to blame for Pau still being here.

The day that Pau dives into the stands, like Griffin just did, is the day this thread should be closed.
Unfortunately, that will never happen.

The priority has to be defense. I would love for the Lakers to be able to get more rest for their 39 year old PG, but the Lakers are just so terrible on defense right now.

I think that's a big need though. Defensive help and a back-up PG are by far the Lakers' biggest needs.

lmao antonis system has not defense in it. He sees defense as a poison. His philosophy is they score 130 we score 140 .

We neeed to make a move. Im on the panic button at the moment. Enough of that "laker fans panic after every loss" stupidity. We look horrible and it's so many problems combined smh.

Mike D'Antoni is GARBAGE.

That's why I'm hoping the Lakers get better individual defensive players. It's obvious D'Antoni isn't going to create schemes to make the Lakers play good defense.

I've tried to be optimistic about Pau. But 2pts, 4rbs, 2ast on 1-6 shooting in a statement game is just not enough.

If we could get Peckovic and Derrick Williams we should pull the trigger. Now.

I hope somewhere right now, Jim is on the phone with Mitch giving him the green light to trade Pau for anything he can get.

I was in denial hoping Gasol was gonna step it up, but after tonight... Trade his ass ASAP.
