@all...

Pau has not played consistently over the last 2 years. This year he has been terrible. Wow his played 2 put of 30 games well . Guess what Jamison played 2 great games aswell. Till he plays 20 straight games consistently and giving us production leading to victories you guys have merit to defend pau gasol. Even if he plays well I'd still sell him when his stock is high because his most likely going to o crap again in the playoffs!

If the Lakers can improve defensively by trading him, I'm all for it. That's the one thing the Lakers need a lot of help in. Another back-up PG would be nice too.

I don't see Lakers investing anymore money in a PG this year when they have Duhon, Blake, Morris and Nash... A bit hard IMO financially

Hah, dump one of them. None of them are good enough. The Lakers need somebody really good to back up Nash to enable the Lakers to rest Nash more. Maybe one could be added onto a trade.

Morris is probably the easiest since he only has a year left and is making under $1 mil. I remember hearing Duhon's 2nd year is only partially guaranteed. Blake has been injured all year and is making the most, so the Lakers are definitely stuck with him.

You seriously sound like skip Bayless right now. If u bring up the 10-11 and 11-12 postseasons, I'll bring up 08-09 and 09-10 pstseasons but I'm guessing that's not fair right? My post was to say the only time you come on this site is when Pau is struggling and you keep saying the same nonsense

You'll bring up the '08-'09 and '09-'10 postseasons for what? What do they matter if you're being paid 20 millions dollars a season and you cannot sustain your worth to the team? More to the point, Pau Gasol has actually become a detriment to the well-being of this franchise.

I'm on this site damn near everyday so what the [expletive] are you talking about? When Pau plays well, I acknowledge it but do you know Pau Gasol's number's this season or are you talking outta your ass as usual? I'm supposed to get hype over two games when MUCH more is expected outta this soft mutha[expletive]a?

Pau Gasol does more than "struggle"...he's practically non-existent on the basketball court.

Pau Gasol is GONE

It's funny how much complain about a guy that averaging A CAREER LOW and is stil averaging 13/4/9 as a fourth option. And let me guess what you're going to say, he gets paid 20 mil. It's not his fault the lakers gave him that money, players can't sustain their level of play as they get older. Again, it's not his fault management decided to give him 20 mil.

no, pau is not the problem, the bench is the problem. we should only trade Pau for a deal of a stretch 4 who can board, and bench help with that

Kobe and Randle led Lakers lead the team to a 32-50 record. the Lakers select Myles Turner with the 5th pick.

It's going to be nearly impossible to trade Pau Gasol mid-season. His contract is too big so they'd have to take several players and they'd have to find a way to send out more players to stay within the 15 man roster limit. And the other team trading away several players would have to find replacements or run with a short roster. It's way too complicated to pull off. I wouldn't rule out smaller trades involving the Lakers' expiring contracts and future draft picks.

Last season, Mitch got Ramon Sessions for Walton, Kapono and a 2012 first round pick. Then he got Jordan Hill for Derek Fisher and the Mavs' top 20 protected pick from the Lamar Odom trade.

They traded away their 2013 pick for Steve Nash. They still have their 2014, 2015, and 2016 first round pick according to this site:
http://www.prosports...ture/Lakers.htm

The rules prohibit them from trading away first round picks in consecutive years. Since they already traded their 2013 pick, they can't trade their 2014 pick until after the 2013 draft. This leaves them with their 2015 first round pick available to trade. If they trade their 2015 first round pick this season, they won't be allowed to trade the 2014 pick even after the 2013 draft. They would have to pick someone and trade him on draft day 2014.

They also have a top 55 protected 2013 second round pick from the Nuggets and they also have their own 2013 second round pick.

Mitch has the pieces to pull off a Sessions or Hill type trade.

Yes. Offensive isn't an issue with this team, it's defense. Smith and Howard would be deadly together on the inside.

i knew what you were saying sounded too good to be true, so i checked

Nash will receive a three-year deal for an estimated $27 million because the Suns ultimately agreed to sign-and-trade him to the Lakers, who can absorb Nash via the trade exception they created by dealing Lamar Odom to the Dallas Mavericks in December.
In return, the Suns get four draft picks -- first rounders in 2013 and 2015 and second rounders in 2013 and 2014. - marc stien ESPN

Please stop shifting the blame to someone else. This is ALL on Pau Gasol. He's taking 12 shots a game this season; the season he averaged 18/11/3 and 54% shooting, he was getting 13 attempts a game...that's what you call a bull[expletive] excuse.

If he's the fourth option it's because he relegated himself to that role. It's not Kobe Bryant's, Dwight Howard's, and Steve Nash's faults that Pau Gasol is shooting 43% from the field. It's no one else's fault that he gets bent over defensively, it's no one else's fault that Pau Gasol won't play consistent basketball.

This is the biggest drop off of production in the history of the league. He's worst than garbage.

Pau Gasol is GONE
