Walk on the beach! I love the feel of the ocean. Hoy de paseo por la playa! Me encanta sentir el agua del océano. #Relax #Refuel #Offseason

That is the same pace at which he runs back to defend.

Lakers were never offered more than second-round pick for Pau Gasol at trade deadline. http://ow.ly/vXylk

Would you have still done it?

No, not for just a second round pick. I'd have done it for the Pacers pick though.

I've always liked Steve Blake.

I would. Two reasons:

1) we would have been worse => better draft pick.

2) we would have had a 2nd rounder, which is better than nothing. Of course, we may still land a second rounder and an expiring deal for Pau, but then again, he may walk for nothing.

I understand why they didn't do the deal - giving away Pau for cap relief and a second rounder and Pau probably is worth more as a trade chip than what we'd get back, but at the time i think many Laker fans needed the front office to show something that resembled a direction.

And perhaps they thought not doing so would improve there chances of re-signing him to a less costly deal this offseason.

Still, if i was Pau, you have to go where the money and team is best. He can always keep his place in so cal, buy another, or spend off season here.

The Pacers pick is arguably worse than an early 2nd rounder.  It's the same talent pool but the money is guaranteed on a 1st rounder.  If the guy isn't very good you can cut ties on a 2nd rounder.

??
And if he does turn out to be good? 2nd rounders are also easier to pry away from teams. Guaranteed money on the 28-30 pick is nothing, especially considering there is a difference between the talent pools at the end of the first, and at around the 10-12th pick of the 2nd round.

Obviously thats not true being that you cant just trade a pick for a player. If what we were getting back cap relief and would have put us under the luxury then yes I would have done it.

Getting a 2nd rounder for Gasol is a steal.
