You take a player off the block to drive up their trade value...

Andrew Wiggins will be better than LeBron James.

I want Pau to remain a Laker, and I'm pretty sure he will start.

Yes. Yes. Yes. +1

Pau isnt the problem! Its the system and lack of speed and athleticsm at the point guard position. Every point guard thats good love playing us because they run around free unless Kobe is guarding them. At his age, he really doesnt need that responsibility. 6'5 athletic POINT GUARD John Wall is a start. Currently working out this summer with Gary Payton and defensive tactics to go along with his speed, ball handling ability, and athleticsm. Iguodala would have been great too at the small forward position but thats done.

Pau should end his career with the Lakers and to be honest, I wasnt a big fan at first BUT I see the advantages we have with his size along side a center.

Pau has been the problem.  His field goal percentage dropped the way it has for a reason under Mike Brown, in Phil's final year and last year.

One of the main reasons Pau was successful was because

him and Dwight finally found their chemistry and Pau finally decided to play in the post and because of the role Kobe had of finding Pau in and out.

Nearly everyone was on board with D'antoni benching Pau because of how terrible Pau played and let's not forget they were very AGAINST Pau starting again, especially when he came back and did so we lost to both the Wizards and the Warriors where he shot nearly 3-12 in both games getting re-acclimated.

But what was apparent in both those losses was that he finally gave in to playing in the post which he hadn't all year despite D'antoni asking him to.

I've always liked Steve Blake.

Pau's offensive stats will see an uptick with him at center.. But it's not his offense I'm worried about, it's his Downey soft defense

I hope that's the case! It would be awesome to finally be able to trade him!

How awesome would it be if we were able to trade Pau for Melo this year... Putting Kobe and Melo together would make us a dark horse for contention

Chicago was rumored for Pau 2 or last seasons ago. They want a power-forward. Pau's contract is expiring, and we know they like to stay under the cap.The reason I bring up Chicago is because they have the Bobcats 1st round pick for 2014. The only problem is Boozer.

Ahh nvm...They do have it, but it's top 10 protected. So if Charlotte gets anywhere from 1-10 on the draft board, it's their pick, not Chicago.

Until 2016 I believe, at that point it becomes unprotected

i think Pau has just been a mental midget these past couple seasons...and it stems from his personal life.

He's been out right garbage and i've wanted him to be gone. BUT i do think he can excel if he goes all out and actually gives effort.. if he doesn't before trade deadline. ship his ass out for once and for all.

Pau is gonna roll this season after he builts his rhythm in Euro Championship just before the start of the season.

For anyone interested it's on 4-22 September, hosted by Slovenia.

I'd love for Pau to pull a Duncan this season and just roll back the clock. We all know he has talent, it's on him to actually show up again.

If Pau is going to step it up, it could be this season as the 5. He has so much offensive talent and it is a shame that D'Antoni had him wasting it on the perimeter.

Although, I can easily see D'Antoni still using Pau on the elbow as a stretch 5.

Pau is in decline.
Pau looked like [expletive] to start the season under Mike Brown and worse as we headed towards 2013.
He was horrible Phil's last year.

But, he looked like an All Star as he got healthy

@GeryWoelfel

As u might imagine, Brandon Jennings isn't a happy camper. A sign-and-trade appears inevitable.

I know there is  a 0% chance of this happening, but he has been linked with the Lakers.

But for what though? I want him here, but I guess we'd have to do something with hill and Nash maybe. Or something that's a three way deal with LA-Bucks-Raptors

We CAN'T receive players via sign and trade.

Actually, can we now since Dwight cleared up $20 million and Metta saved us $7 million? Whoever is good with the salary cap rules, please explain.
