So as news and everything else becomes available, or if you have a theory about where the franchise is heading on either the big or small screen, let's talk about it in here!

Revenge of the Sith was arguably the third or second best film in the franchise in my book. Episode 1 & 2, not quite on par. Best thing Episode 1 had going for it for me was Darth Maul & for 2, Jango Fett, although they could've done a better a job with him even then imo.I loved all the star wars movies. I was really young when episode 1 came out so that was my [expletive]. I hate when people say the last 3 sucked. Its just older people who grew up on the originals against the younger who are first really getting into them.

10, 11, 12 will feature Luke and han solo an the rest
My wonder is noone has mentioned if those characters will be in 7, 8, and 9
Though the author of skywalking said that 7, 8, and 9 were the best in the series from the treatments he read. So we'll see. I'm not the biggest fan of the franchise but I do love movies therefore I'll see them all just to see where it goes

My Star Wars jockin days are over. It's for kids. I've grown up.
That's too bad. I've grown up as well but I still keep a small part of the kid in me to have some fun. Star Wars is the bomb, I hope Disney does well with it.

And I VERY happy that they are independent stories.
I have a friend that's kinda connected and he told me yeatersay that the odds on favorites (and some say the contract has been signed) for writing and directing are Eric Lindeloff to write, the guy who wrote Prometheus, and Brad Bird of Pixar game to direct.
I would love if those were true.

Lucas already said that they are taking place a couple decades after Jedi and that they're original stories with nothing to do with any novel or comic.
And I VERY happy that they are independent stories.

prometheus was awful, i hope they find a better writer considering the writing was the main problem. I like Brad Bird though, excellent choice if true.
i read that about Lucas saying that they wouldn't be following any outside stories that have been made. I've also read that the treatments are done already and the stories for 7-12 are already outlined. as i said above i read the luke and the other original characters are involved in 10-12. but i'm not sure if i misread that as them not being involved in 7-9
also the author of skywalking said that 7-9 were by far the most exciting and interesting of the series. i've said before i'm not a big star wars fan at all. i can enjoy the movies to a certain extent. mainly empire and episode III were the one's i enjoyed the most. they had the most complexity. i think episode I and II are just awful mainly because of casting choices, ROTJ is also terrible, but New Hope was somewhat enjoyable as a coming of age type movie

The prequels, are just poorly done on so many levels it's fairly depressing.
I read the same thing about 7-12, wonder if it's true. I do like Lindeloff as a writer quite a bit, the guy knows character and sci-fi very well. The story would still be overseen by Lucas and Kennedy so nothing would get out of hand. I didn't think Prometheus was awful I thought it just over-extended itself a bit for one film. Should've been stretched out to 3 films.
Anyway, Brad Bird would be a stellar choice for director.

Very interesting.
Also a bit about Matthew Vaughn maybe directing. Though I still hear Brad Bird has the lead for now.

If we somehow land Dwight Howard AND Nash (which is one of the biggest reaches I've posted, don't think that will happen), then yeah...I have no problem with it, because Howard won't allow anyone to take Nash off the dribble 30+ minutes a game.
You should reach more often
