To be fair, that was ALL LeBron

Well with that logic all of Phil's championships were on Jordan, Kobe, Shaq, Pippen, and Pau.

Losing on Portland was nothing to me why?

cause most of the game with portland we end up of losing

but losing on dallas mavs :nah: is no excuse

Dallas is a rebuild team also like us but the different is we have a talent

they don't have the chemistry also

The Mavericks have a very underrated team. They're gonna surprise alot of people this season. Even without Dirk they're pretty deep. Roddy Beabosis, Darren Collison, Vince Carter, Shawn Marion, Elton Brand, Jae Crowder, Brandon Wright, and of course OJ Mayo. Nothing to scoff at. Once they get Dirk and Kaman as well back they're gonna be a very good team. I don't think they're a legit championship contender like Oklahoma City, San Antonio, or the Lakers, but I think they can get that 4th or 5th seed and win a round.

What the OP really meant for creating this thread is that the Lakers are over rated.

MDA is an offensive genius. I hope he sticks to his guns and keeps doing what he does best: Run and Gun. That's the only way to coach.

Not what I meant alot all. The Lakers aren't overrated at all. The team has aton of talent, but all that talent needs some time to come together and build some chemistry as a unit.

[/quoteTrue as any chef knows a great feast needs prep and a proper mise en plas, but defense isn't the Havard defense not good leaving perimeter shooters and allowing penetration, Howard can't stop everybody for 48 minutes, If decent defense was going no one would worry about the offense as there were enough points to win. I stress defense esp the bench no intensity, no one is fired up. 0-4 by Monday without defense. Not over-rated but pre mature to expect perfection and running every team out of the gym.But we are now imitating "Bakers" with so many turnovers, lol. {lay more of the bemch and see who da man, Mike or you'll be an asst coach somewhere else.

our struggles are due to chemistry, partly. look, if dwight was 100% we'd be able to run the O through him more, wed be able to run pick n roll with him more(more lob opportunities with 100%dwight) and hed be dominating the boards, we're allowing wayyy to many 2nd chances.. the rest of our problems is because of our 2nd unit, our wings either need to retire, retire from their certain postions,or arent paired with the right personnel. Blake and Meeks need wings who can create for them, in order to be productive, and Jamison needs to play the 4 to be productive. i just pray we get delonte west, i dont believe in God, but i will pray to him that we get Delonte. also, im taking all bets that we wont win it all this year(health stipulation, tho)

Ill make a bet with you. What do you wanna bet?

"The West aint close, now that the LAL got Dwight, who gon stop him on OKC!????" - Chris Webber (nba tv -August)

Big 4s are OVERRATED. you think Nash/Kobe/Dwight cant carry the whole Offensive load!?
(Peace Pau we need pieces, not MettaWorldPieces!!!!!!!!)

Yeah because we lost to a very good Clippers team without Steve Nash. It's not like the first two games where we lost to two far inferior teams. The only thing I'm really upset with Howard's lack of shot attempts. He's the best bigman in the league by far. He needs at least 15 shot attempts. He only got 7. That can't happen. Same problem happened with him in Orlando. Dwight grew increasingly frustrated because he just wouldn't get the ball down low consistently enough. Can't afford to have the same issue here. Get him the damn ball and get the hell out of his way.

As upset and disappointed as I am with the results thus far, I don't know why so many fans have already given up...

If you pay close attention the the games its not that the Lakers don't have enough talent, its all team chemistry and cohesion!
The starting five hasn't quiet blended together yet and in my opinion so far, Steve Nash has bee underutilized.
The most upsetting player however is MWP, I would think this would be his turn-around year but he just seems totally lost in our new offense.

Another major reason is because our second unit has no experience playing together but it does have talent.
Aside from Steve Blake who is complete garbage, Jodie Meeks, Antawn Jamison, and Jordan Hill will be hard to compete with, they just need TIME

Yeah it's not like Mike Brown coached a mediocre team to the Finals in 2007 or to the best record in basketball two seasons in a row in 2009 and 2010.

Its not like he had the best player in the game on his team in a very weak eastern conference :)

It's going to take some time for this team to gel. Dwight's conditioning is no where close to what it should be, we still haven't given Nash a fair opportunity to run the offense, defensively we're a click slow on rotations, and quite frankly the Princeton is still a work in progress. And that's just touching on issues at the surface. I could go in alot deeper and knit pick at every little thing, but it's pointless. We have to be patient. Rome wasn't built in a day.
