James Harden just got his max deal

Sources say Rockets fully intend to sign Harden to contract extension he was seeking from OKC before Wednesday's extension deadline

Kevin Martin now needs to adjust to a bench role (unless they start him). He's not as dynamic or as strong as Harden is either.

One aspect people ignore is how good Harden is defensively. He gave Kobe a lot of problems.

I guess OKC thinks they're able to win without Harden this year. I'm pretty happy now that he's gone. Martin can be useful in another trade.

Hopefully this implodes the Thunder and they trade away more key pieces
Yeah.

This will happen regardless. Westbrook will want to be the top dog on a team and that will not happen as long as KD is healthy.

also he was a great playmaker . But they must believe that Russell is going to set up everybody first instead of scoring first

Harden and Bynum both getting their own team. Should be interesting to see who is able to step up.

I'm shocked. This hurts OKC without Harden off the bench now. Martin is fragile and doesn't bring a lot to the table like Harden.

But in the future? They look scary. They can use those picks and Martin's expiring to get better pieces.
