I don't think we will see sustained optimism until after Nash makes a successful return but every little bit helps.

i disagree. im more happy at dwights health improving, rather than Nash's. dwight looked almost 90%tonight(cue dwights health % jokes). anyway, he looked as athletic as ive seen him as a laker (and i say this about every 5 games or so) . this is the first game where i really feel like the Dwight Howard i thought we traded for, dominated..

Kobe and Randle led Lakers lead the team to a 32-50 record. the Lakers select Myles Turner with the 5th pick.

To add to good things MDI mentioned, we are now ranked 8th in Offensive Rating (107.1) and 7th in Defensive Rating (102.2) Our pace is getting better, currently ranked 4th.

FG% : 46.0% - 6th
3P FG% : 37.5% - 9th
Effective FG% : 51.4% - 6th
PPG : 100.6 - 6th

Defensive Stats:

Allowed FG% : 43.7% - 10th
Allowed 3P FG% : 34.6% - 10th
Allowed PPG : 95.9 - 11th

Once Dwight gets his form back and Nash returns, we are gonna rolllllll

We had 3 guys with 8 assists last night...Kobe, Pau and Duhon. We rarely have 2 guys with that many assists when was the last time we had 3?

What a difference a coach makes: Under Mike Brown, Lakers were 8th slowest team in pace factor. Under Mike D'Antoni? 3rd-fastest.

According to Hollingers Power Ranking's, the Lakers are 10th - ahead of Chicago, GS, Jazz, Indiana and Boston just to name a few.

Hollinger's Power Rankings are actually quite good and take schedule, recent succes, home-away and scoring margin into consideration, which statistically have proven more acurate at determining how good a team is compared to win-loss record. It does not however take human factors into consideration, such as injuries, coach changes, bad call's by Joey Crawford etc.

Trying to be a bit optimistic in these losing days i think being 10th in Hollinger's power rankings with 3 coaches, two new systems, injuries to two of our four best players isn't too bad.

3 wins in a row and 3 days off coming up

We really really need to win at Golden state. Help yourself in the standings because

- We suck on Christmas every year
- The day after Christmas we play AT DENVER. Road teams rarely win in Denver when its their 2nd game of a back to back

With the way the Clips, San Antonio and OKC are playing I dont think they're slowing down unless they suffer major injuries. Realistically I think we should shoot for the 4th seed. We're 5 games out of that spot that Memphis currently holds, I think Memphis will start slipping they've played only 11 road games the fewest in the NBA. Then I hope we draw the Clippers in the 2nd round (so that means Flop City has to be 1 seed), this way even though we're the "Road" team the games will be played in our building, no travel = good for this team then go face OKC or SAS in WCF. Im down for that
