I don't think we will see sustained optimism until after Nash makes a successful return but every little bit helps.
i disagree. im more happy at dwights health improving, rather than Nash's. dwight looked almost 90%tonight(cue dwights health % jokes). anyway, he looked as athletic as ive seen him as a laker (and i say this about every 5 games or so) . this is the first game where i really feel like the Dwight Howard i thought we traded for, dominated..
"The West aint close, now that the LAL got Dwight, who gon stop him on OKC!????" - Chris Webber (nba tv -August)
Big 4s are OVERRATED. you think Nash/Kobe/Dwight cant carry the whole Offensive load!?
(Peace Pau we need pieces, not MettaWorldPieces!!!!!!!!)

tomhaberstroh Tom HaberstrohWhat a difference a coach makes: Under Mike Brown, Lakers were 8th slowest team in pace factor. Under Mike D'Antoni? 3rd-fastest.

Hollinger's Power Rankings are actually quite good and take schedule, recent succes, home-away and scoring margin into consideration, which statistically have proven more acurate at determining how good a team is compared to win-loss record. It does not however take human factors into consideration, such as injuries, coach changes, bad call's by Joey Crawford etc.
Trying to be a bit optimistic in these losing days i think being 10th in Hollinger's power rankings with 3 coaches, two new systems, injuries to two of our four best players isn't too bad.

We really really need to win at Golden state. Help yourself in the standings because
- We suck on Christmas every year
- The day after Christmas we play AT DENVER. Road teams rarely win in Denver when its their 2nd game of a back to back
