No it doesn't dude. Our players need to play with some effort and intensity on the defensive side of the floor. If they don't it doesn't matter what the scheme is. Players gotta play. Coaches can only do so much.

Even when they play with effort and intensity they usually don't get stops.

They're both contributing offensively. They're just horrid defensively. Antawn has never been a good defender and Metta doesn't have the speed to keep up at SF.

theyr decent offensively,,,contributing,yes. but, mwp dribbles too much and that messess up the offense,,,and jamison's jumper needs to be more consistent. Antawn hurts us alot on the glass tho,defensive rebounding wise. and yes metta's D has been non existent this year

The Lakers can't get rid of contributing players though. They're not deep as is. The Lakers just need to find defensive players to compliment everybody else.

I think they should both play at PF, but it's certainly not possible on this team when healthy.

Sessions was killing us!! I'm a bonafide Laker fan but I almost have to applaud Sessions for not putting up with the drama and doing what he felt was best for him. I think alot of players like Jamison, Howard and others are rhythm players and its hard to play on a team where you don't get touches. It was amazing when Pau passed the oop to D12 last night and Howard held his hands up and smiled as if to say "I finally touched the ball" or "someone finally passed it to me where i need it"

Should never have been down 18 to a 7 win team in the first place to need that comeback. This team still has issues. They haven't been solved by any means yet.

It's sad that nothing continues to be done about the defense. This roster as is just can't play defense. Not enough athletes.

Even when the Lakers had a defensive coach, they just couldn't defend quicker teams. Hiring a coach who doesn't teach defense doesn't help, but you ultimately need to have personnel who can keep up in a league that's becoming more about scoring in transition each day.

I'm not seeing the same thing on defense as the rest of you guys. Our guys COULD play ELITE defense.


What we're not doing is staying active. We're not FORCING turnovers. We are just waiting on the offense to make a play instead of forcing the offense into shots they don't want to take. We aren't moving. We aren't hustling for rebounds. We aren't diving on the floor for loose balls. We aren't playing to defend. We are playing D like we EXPECT Dwight to clean up everything.



THis team has better individual defenders than ORL ever had.

Wonder why they played much better than this squad has all year?


And don't say SVG...Mike Brown comes from the same school of defense as SVG. This team didn't wow on defense with him either.




We need a couple of high energy guys in the starting lineup like Jordan Hill...Paul Milsapp (for Pau) would make a lot of sense....
