Kobe, who scored 30 in 40 min, told me his foot feels worse due to the back-to-back. It's real sore, but he'll push through it.

Why the eff wouldn't you play Meeks more Mike Brown SMDH
https://twitter.com/LakersReporter/status/263876566780633089
Probably because Meeks was getting scored on and Ebanks was playing terrible and in foul trouble.
Aside from that it was a 9 point game late into the 4th, if he threw Meeks in there at that point you'd be calling for his head.
When he sat Kobe and Duhon and Meeks came in the Trailblazers went on a 13-0 run.

If we somehow land Dwight Howard AND Nash (which is one of the biggest reaches I've posted, don't think that will happen), then yeah...I have no problem with it, because Howard won't allow anyone to take Nash off the dribble 30+ minutes a game.
You should reach more often

Kobe says he scored his 40 "on one foot" and would need the walking boot leaving the arena. Said he feels like his foot is about to fall off

Kobe needs a boot to leave the arena because of the pain in his foot from carrying the team and the dude we specifically signed to back him up gets a DNPCD.
Only Mike Brown.

It was clear that Kobe was hurting. He bit his jersey all game.

Exactly. I wonder if Brown will be pressed on this point by the media.
Kobe needs to sit out until it gets better...I don't care how many games we lose.

had a hard time sleeping last night. Ankle still throbbing. Had to get up every few hours to ice it. Tried The Stones and The Beatles and I gotta say I'm into it! It has a calm aggression. Sets the tone for our game tonight in Sacramento.
Mamba out
and he's still ballin

Which reminds me...might want to mute the announcers tonight. (League Pass always with the home feed)

Kind of hard to imagine Kobe listening to the Beatles before a game, lol.

I think the ankle is better than it was before...but he still put 39 minutes on it last night. My hope is that he can hopefully play less tonight....might be asking too much though. The Queens always play us tough, and on a b2b I'm sure they'll try to run us out of the gym.

It's because Meeks still can't contribute consistently.
D'antoni keeps telling Meeks all he wants him to do is shoot threes the moment he touches the ball, Meeks is responding with dribbling and trying to drive and dish the ball.
Again, people don't want to say it but Brown may have been right to bench the guy. If this goes on for the next 5-6 games where he doesn't do what D'antoni is asking him to do then he may need to be benched again.
D'antoni's offense is PERFECT for him so when I see him catch the ball and decide to start dribbling instead of taking the three it infuriates me.

Doesn't help when Morris runs the break and instead of passing to a wide open Meeks, he goes up for a consistent lay up and gets block
