Problem is most movies nowadays are absolute trash. If it's not a remake or a sequel its a poorly made piece of garbage. I appreciate that though I'm not so much a perfectionist, as much as I just want a movie to be made with some kind of style, passion or fun and so many nowadays come from a creatively bankrupt system that sees fit to churn out the same movies year in and year out. I like plenty of what could be considered "bad" movies, plenty (ask my wife or look at my list of movie I own, its chock full of bizarre junk that for some reason I love).
Watched "Seven Psychopaths" yesterday too, that was fun, not great, but a fun film.

"Django Unchained"
"The Avengers"
"Cabin In The Woods"
Though I have yet to watch my screeners of "Lincoln", "Moonrise Kingdom", "Argo", "Salmon Fishing In The Yemen", "Cloud Atlas", "Zero Dark Thirty", "The Impossible" and "Silver Linings Playbook". Gotta find a couple days to sit back and catch up on all those.

Curious to hear what you think of Cloud Atlas. My favorites of 2012 are (not in any order):
"Django Unchained"
"The Avengers"
"Cabin In The Woods"
Though I have yet to watch my screeners of "Lincoln", "Moonrise Kingdom", "Argo", "Salmon Fishing In The Yemen", "Cloud Atlas", "Zero Dark Thirty", "The Impossible" and "Silver Linings Playbook". Gotta find a couple days to sit back and catch up on all those.
I haven't seen cabin in the woods.
I ordered the Django dolls from amazon. I wasn't going to pay the cost for Broomhilda or Django. I doubt I'll get the ones I ordered.

I need a hundred black coffins for a hundred bad men
A hundred black graves so I can lay they ass in
I need a hundred black preachers, with a black sermon to tell
From a hundred black Bibles, while we send them all to hell
