Come on guys Rondo got cut in place of guys like Stephen Curry and Chauncey Billups for Team USA spot. His shooting is that atrocious

We're talking about point guards...not ray allen and reggie miller

this is an unfair comparison considering one player is entering the prime of his career and the other, although still very capable, is 3 yrs from retirement.

and Chauncey/Curry aren't really the greatest passers. Team USA needed a floor general who'd distribute the ball and thats what Rondo does best, yet they didn't pick him because his overwhelming passing/defense doesn't trump his inability to shoot a lick

Think about it late in the games Rondo might get fouled, would you reatly want a 60% shooter at the FT line?

Chauncey/Curry aren't better PGs than Rondo either.

Rajon came to us and said he was going to withdraw from the team, that he had some family matters to attend to and some things to take care of before the NBA season. He did an outstanding job during our training, we appreciate the effort and commitment he made to our program and he completely has our support.

Now, I don't know if thats the real reason for not including Rondo on Team USA but thats neither here nor there. I don't value shooting over defense, court vision, and just the all around game that Rondo has. We're talking about a guy that was dropping triple dubs IN THE PLAYOFFS like it was nothing.

Nash is one of the best perimeter shooter to ever play basketball but rondo is supremely better than Nash on the defensive end and a better rebounder and can be a scorer I would say Rondo is better than Nash because he can play great on both ends of the ball

The only PG better than Rondo at the moment is CP3 when talking about an overall game
