This is where you just post your predictions for the upcoming season such as win/loss record and player statistics.

I have the Lakers going 62-20. Tied for first in the West with Oklahoma City. I have us winning the championship of course. I just think when you look at this basketball team you have so much talent. Sure our depth isn't the greatest, but we have one of the top starting lineups in recent memory. Four future hall of famers in Nash, Kobe, Pau and Dwight. Three of those guys will no doubt be first ballot hall of famers and who are also still playing at a high level.

When you have that much star power do you really need great depth to win a championship? I don't think so and considering the way these guys fit together. Nash makes Kobe's life much easier since he can now play off the ball more and of course Nash now gets to play with arguably the two best pick and roll players in Dwight and Pau.

Another thing is all these guys love each other like brothers. Unlike the 2004 team. With that team no one early liked each other. Not the case with this team. I just really feel that barring injury this is our year. It will not be easy obviously, but I think our Lakers will be hoisting championship #17 by season's end.

As for the stats these are my predictions. Our top eight who will be seeing the majority of the minutes.

Steve Nash - 10.6 points, 11.7 assists, 1.7 rebounds, 50.5 FG%, 45.7 FG%.
Kobe Bryant - 25.0 points, 4.3 assists, 5.7 rebounds, 46.7 FG%, 33.3 3PT FG %.
Metta World Peace - 8.7 points, 2.5 assists, 3.3 rebounds, 44.9 FG%, 34.0 3PT FG%.
Pau Gasol - 15.9 points, 3.3 assists, 10.5 rebounds, 55.2 FG%, 25.0 3PT FG%.
Dwight Howard - 20.2 points, 1.9 assists, 13.8 rebounds, 61.2 FG%, 0.0 3PT FG%.
Steve Blake - 3.0 points, 3.3 assists, 1.0 rebounds, 37.0 FG%, 33.0 3PT FG%.
Jodie Meeks - 6.5 points, 0.8 assists, 1.7 rebounds, 40.0 FG%, 42.2 3PT FG%.
Devin Ebanks - 2.9 points, 0.2 assists, 2.0 rebounds, 45.3 FG%, 28.4 3PT FG%.
Antwan Jamison - 10.0 points, 0.5 assists, 5.3 rebounds, 45.6 FG%, 35.1 3PT FG%.
Jordan Hill - 5.1 points, 0.1 assists, 6.5 rebounds, 50.6 FG%, 0.0 3PT FG%.

West 1st Round - #1 Lakers defeat #8 Warriors in four games.
West Semi-Finals - : #1 Lakers defeat #4 Spurs in six games.
West Finals: #1 Lakers defeat #2 Thunder in seven games.
NBA Finals: #1 Lakers defeat #2 Celtics in six games.

Kobe wins his third Finals MVP with averages of 27 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists,

That's it folks. Post your predictions.

62-20, i like that @cowboysfan .. first in west,by a game or two, or maybe OKC ends up with the same record as us but we win the season series.

we win the Championship because no "contender" can slow Dwight down. Dwight will avg close to 20 rebounds against OKC, and definitely against MIA in the finals. Dwight will block or change ALOT of shots, little Westbrick, dwade, and harden will find it almost impossible to finish with Dwight contesting their shots. KD and Lebron will also have their fg%s lowered by Dwight. btw we may not be "deep" but, our 2nd unit wont be bad at all, Pau,Hill,Jamison, and meeks will carry the 2nd unit just fine.

Player Predictions (book em) :
Starters:
Nash: 9 ppg 10 assist
Kobe: 23 ppg
Metta: 7 ppg
Pau : 18 ppg
DH12: 21 ppg
_____________________
78 points on avg from our starters, beautiful

Bench :
Blake: 3 ppg
Meeks: 6 ppg
Jamison: 10 ppg
Hill : 8 ppg

__________________
27 points on avg from our bench

I predict we score 104 or 105 ppg...

PLAYOFFS:
we lose a total of 4 games, 2 to OKC, 1 to MIA, 1 to a random team in the west

Edited by KeepItRealOrElse, October 17, 2012 - 01:47 PM.

Kobe and Randle led Lakers lead the team to a 32-50 record. the Lakers select Myles Turner with the 5th pick.

OKC has Perkins, who is supposedly the only guy can guard Dwight well.

Season of turmoil!

Mike Brown wildly mismanages Player personal
Backup PG duties Haunt the lakers all season, culminating in a panic deadline deal for another PG
Howard and Gasol do not mix... Gasol looks ever more lost then last season... He plays the good solider and plays on, but pouting all the way
Kobe goes nuts, respecting no one on the team but Ron Artest, who has become his personal bodyguard when on the bench to keep Mike Brown away from him...
Steve nash has an injury, which forces Duhon and Blake to play big mins!
Kobe sets career lows in Points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks
Jameson shoots less then 40% from the field
Lakers cut Chris Douglas Roberts... who signs with the rockets and starts along side J.Lin...
Andrew Bynum drains 10 three pointers as the lakers lose to the 76'ers
Metta World Peace gets busted for PEDs
Adam Morrison lights the lakers up for 30 points
Christian Eyenga wins the dunk contest
Luke Walton is comeback player of the year
Sacre has his US Citizenship stripped and is extridited to Canada
Jordan Hill goes to jail
Dwight Howard trade rescinded because of an Andrew Bynum injury.
Derek Fisher is signed by the spurs and makes a game winning shot to knock the lakers out of the playoffs
All while NO Lakers fans get to watch the game because of TWCSports (but they still broadcast in SPANISH!!!!

Anything i miss?

MDA is an offensive genius. I hope he sticks to his guns and keeps doing what he does best: Run and Gun. That's the only way to coach.
