Minnesota Timberwolves star Kevin Love will miss the next six to eight weeks after breaking his right hand in a workout on Wednesday.
The team made the announcement after practice, saying Love broke the third and fourth metacarpals on his shooting hand during a morning workout. It's a crushing blow to the Timberwolves, who already will be without star point guard Ricky Rubio for at least the first six weeks while he recovers from a torn ACL in his left knee.
Love is a two-time All-Star who led the team in scoring and rebounding last season. He also played a key role in Team USA's march to the gold medal in the London Olympics.
The injury likely means more playing time for Derrick Williams.

Wolves can never stay healthy. I actually think if they do, they can make the playoffs easily.

man that sucks

hopes for a speedy recovery, but with Rubio out already and now Love idk if they can secure a playoff spot. They need a strong 2nd half of the season to do so

Lets see what Derick Williams is all about. Either a bust or a hero.

Wow that sucks. Thats gonna make the T-wolves lose right out of the gate. No rubio or love. Even though he would be back only after a month or so its still gonna get them a lot of loss's that they cant afford this season if they want to make the playoffs. Love said also they better make the playoffs or else.

Another long, cold winter in Minnesota. Another top draft pick.

Maybe they'll come strong in 2014.

They cannot catch a break.

Oh well, hope Love has a speedy recovery so we can flip Pau for him this off season and have the best rebounding duo in the history of the NBA

This sucks i have tickets to watch them play in november... i dont really like Kevin love, but it would've been a better game with him playing... also wish Ricky was playing.
