Lakers guard Kobe Bryant hopes to not only reach the NBA Finals once again, but to face the Celtics for the second-straight year.

"Of course, [I want Boston]," Bryant said. "If you see a guy that you fought at lunchtime and he knocked you out, oh, I'm coming back the next day. I don't want the little 4-foot guy. I want the big football player, that's what I want."

Bryant isn't the only one who wants to face Boston next June.

"You always want to play against the team you lost to. They're a heck of a team. I would love to play against Boston, personally," Lamar Odom said.

I want Boston as well.

I can't wait to see what Kobe does to them on December 25th.

The odds of that happening are pretty slim.

Other than the two consecutive times the Bulls and Jazz met each other in the Finals (one being Jordan's last year with them, so it would've been 1997 and 1998), I can almost guarantee that it hasn't happened since, well...

the Lakers and Celtics, back when Russell and West were in there. That would be mid-60's.

Pretty crazy.

Don't count on it, Kobe. Boston won't even sniff the Finals next year.

Garnett and Allen a year older. Pierce will get a lot more attention and will not carry them.

No Posey.

Same here  I feel like winning it all won't be as satisfying unless we win over them. But hey, a championship is a championship and I'd be happy either way. Just even more when we beat Boston to it though :D

If David Stern could have his dream match-up yet again and milk some more money he'd rig it some way for Boston to go up against LA again.

Boston is still going to be tough, but I really hope the Lakers can shut them down.

Honestly...Boston has a better chance of reaching the Finals than the Lakers, the west is just as strong as last year...they are a year older, but they arent old yet... I agree no Posey, no Pj Brown and I am willing to bet they will struggle more so this year w/ injuries to role player(s).

Lakers for 4-peat in 2011-2012
Again - this team, as currently constructed won't make it out of the second round of the playoffs, let alone the West or win the Finals.---fido on 2011 Lakers

I don't care which team it is because they'll be losing regardless but I wouldn't mind Boston.

In my opinion i do not believe that Celtics will make it to the Finals.. Getting old and not so tough.

Lakers vs Cavs is what im feeling.

The point is this. Kobe and the Lakers are daring the greens to get back into the Finals. We are looking down towards them this season.

It won't happen because it's going to be the Lakers vs. Cavs in the finals. :)
