What a bad signing. This guy does not look good on any level, getting beat on defense, making bad ball descsions, missing open jumpers, turning the ball over.
He is looking like a Troy Murphy/Josh McRoberts type signing...
Utter disapointment...
I was not really a fan of the signing to begin with, and watching him i am seeing the same player that SG-Needy Philly let go for NOTHING...

I can see Steve Blake 2.0 already and I prefer barbosa over him but I'm still hoping that he will show the real him when the season starts already

Hes a 3 point shooter period. He cant create for himself but at the same time he's not gonna force the issue either. Hes one dimensional but he fits what this team needs which is 3 point shooting. Give him a look with Nash, Kobe, etc Im sure he'll do fine

Philly has a Need for a good SG...
so the fact they just let this guy walk, is telling... I think the lakers got played on this one...
Barbosa would be better... A great combo guard, not a true PG, but, considering we are playing Goudelock and DJO at PG, he is no worse...
I have seen ZERO from meeks over 3 games to think he has got it. If he was a non-guarented player i would expect him to be cut...
Terrible... looks awful out there, he has no saving graces...
the steve blake singing comparison is a good one.
Blake was expected to do big things, and has failed, and gets continued playing time....
I could see meeks going the same way...
Getting almost 18 mins a night, and doing NOTHING with them....
And i think CDR is this years Gereald Green

They drafted Turner to replace Meeks
and everyone else was brought in after they let him go (or had plans to let him walk)
I hope the lakers keep CDR... they made a HUGE mistake not signing Green last season
Meeks has no good traits...
He is a 3 point shooter, that is bad from 3 point range...
I would take Sasha over him

I did not understand the lakers presuit of him to begin with, and, after seeing his limited action in uniform, it confirms my previous conclusions about him.
The guy is not good.
Lakers needed a scoring 2 guard.

He has barely seen any time on the floor with Nash and has not played a single minute with Dwight Howard. He'll be at his best playing alongside one or both of these guys at the same time. He is primarily a catch-and-shoot player, nothing more. That's what he needs to be used as, not as a guy forced to create his own look and attack the basket (which is what he's had to do alongside the super-scrub lineup). We've seen him paired with either Blake or Morris in the backcourt. He hasn't had the opportunity to play his actual role to this point.
If he fails at it once we see him alongside a Nash/Howard pairing, then we can call him a bust. Right now it is FAR too premature to throw out a blanket statement like that.

Mind as well start saying, Kobe is old cuz he didn't score as much points, Nash sucks cuz he had a few points and dimes, even DHoward sucks cuz he was on the sideliine. Don't get your panties in a bunch, it's called a PRESEASON for a reason.
