I know we have warren2thag saying similar stuff from time to time but who knows could be a chick this time.

But gotta give blake a bit credit, he is a nice guy.
In this offense we're running I think Blake will flourish.
Let's be honest last year was WAY too much that Blake dealt with. He was asked to be the primary guy on the bench team while also playing both the 1 and the 2 given our lack of depth.
Blake is a bench 1 his career. No more no less, he's not gonna be your "anchor" on a bench squad. this year he has less responsibilities and a better offense to use. He's looking better out there than a while and also getting some nice assists, he's not scoring much but that's what Meeks and CDR and Jamison are for on this bench. Blake won't be looked at to be the primary scorer to play two positions while being the anchor of the bench anymore.
Duhon on the other hand......is looking useless right now.
I KNOW that Mike Brown is going to give him a chance when it's his turn but I expect Duhon to not do much if anything.
If we somehow land Dwight Howard AND Nash (which is one of the biggest reaches I've posted, don't think that will happen), then yeah...I have no problem with it, because Howard won't allow anyone to take Nash off the dribble 30+ minutes a game.

There's always some excuse with Laker homers for why players are terrible for years.
And there's always negative people that ignore when said players start improving in a system that those homers said they'd flourish in.
Just the same as the people that didn't think MWP was gonna come in this year and play well despite him playing great at the end of last season.
Neither side wants to be wrong so they'll defend their argument endlessly.
So when Blake plays well in this system you'll still say he sucks, and I'll still say this system maximizes his strengths and it shows.
So it goes both ways sunshine.

Nah, I hope you're right. I'm a Laker fan, and I want to see Laker players do well. There's got to be some line though.
It's just crazy that it's never considered with some fans that these players just aren't good anymore. These players have had awful seasons when looked at in their totality. I don't care about a few games out of an entire season.
When you get to the age players like Metta and Blake are, there's decline. They've already been in multiple systems and didn't flourish in either one of them. I actually wasn't too hard on Metta after 2011. But at some point, you just have to perform.

For those asking about Calderon-to-Lakers Twitter talk today, Calderon's agent Mark Bartelstein says: "There's absolutely nothing to it."

For the record, I don't buy any of the Calderon trade talk but wouldn't be surprised because they were interested in him last season.

If they were trying to cut salary then they wouldn't have gone after Nash and Howard while keeping Gasol. Pretty sure FO is going all in.If were trying to cut salary, why would we take back Calderon's big contract? That's 10 mill! I know were willing to give out the dough but with our huge payroll and CBA.. damn.
