Heard he didn't want the veterans minimum either. I'd just take Sacre for cheap, hustles on rebounds, and has chemistry with Nash.
his agent said he wouldnt take the minimum if his role was small. his role here would be big enough. before the Jhill injury his role here would have been way too small, non existent really,so thats why we were interested but didnt get him.

Big 4s are OVERRATED. you think Nash/Kobe/Dwight cant carry the whole Offensive load!?

Washington Wizards are loaded with quality bigs, we should try to get Kevin Seraphin or Trevor Booker for Blake or Duhon and dump Morris as well. John Wall is out for 8 weeks and they dont have any PGs on the team lol

Another team that needs PG's badly is Toronto...Kyle Lowry is out indefinitely

trade Duhon for Aaron Gray or somethin

I remember that dude killed us when we played against NO 2 years ago.Another option is trading one of our backup PG's for a half decent big

He's already on the team, his contract came with Duhon's.
if anything this could mean we sign Sacre on a temporary before sending him down to the D-league.
We can't force Jamison to play the 5 so Clark pretty much is our only choice on his size and wingspan alone unless we want Gasol logging extra minutes.
This is really bad though.
CDR could make the team now too though because of the bench lineup we may be forced to run.
If we somehow land Dwight Howard AND Nash (which is one of the biggest reaches I've posted, don't think that will happen), then yeah...I have no problem with it, because Howard won't allow anyone to take Nash off the dribble 30+ minutes a game.
You should reach more often

C: Howard (33) Gasol (15)
PF: Gasol (18) Jamison (20) Clark(10)
SF: World Peace(30) Ebanks (10) Bryant (8)
SG: Bryant (25) Meeks (23)
PG: Nash (33) Blake(15)
My main take is that Hill's injury would compound the problem of not having Dwight available to begin the season. If he's playing, I'm not as worried. It sucks losing a good bench player either way though.

IMO, Lakers may not actually need to add anybody if Dwight is healthy and Metta can play 30+. The Lakers can just give the better role players more minutes.

hey good post, i was thinking the same thing... Gasol can play a few minutes a quarter with the starters, and then just like last year, play him with the 2nd unit,at center..

Im sure we can manage a month and a half with this team and then can dump Morris to get the necessary help in the backup PF/C

Whether you personally like K-Mart or not as a person is irrelevant. As a player, he is hands down better than both Robert Sacre and Earl Clark, easily. Even Jordan Hill to be honest. There is absolutely no arguing that. He's a proven quality vet.Robert Sacre and Earl Clark welcome to the Lakers!
Or would the Lakers go after Kenyon Martin now?
Sign him for the vets min. if not Barbosa or Pietrus. Keep CDR. I hope & pray at least one of those four guys make this team somehow.

well that was probably gonna happen anyways, at least to some extent. their bench is better than last season but brown aint clearing it for long unless the lead is sizeable or they are holding. pau's the workhorse and really the second best pont guard on the team lol. the man needs a vacation, damn olympics
